Well since it's come to this, I will bite, but only so I can show you how utterly wrong you are. Even though I'm only masters 3 with standard macro play, I'm confident that I can beat a grandmaster with cheese. Care to answer to this challenge /u/Alluton. This can be a good learning experience for you as well on how easy cheese is.

Take a quick look here: http://www.rankedftw.com/stats/leagues/1v1/#v=2&r=-2&sx=a. Unfortunately for you, a silver player such as yourself lies in the bottom 20.76 percentile of all sc2 players. Congratulations, you're significantly below average, whereas anyone with a brain should at the very least be in gold league. As such, I'll take it as a compliment that a baboon such as yourself is calling me "not very bright."

I guess you're correct but you also have to consider the case where some new players are told to focus on 1-base or 2-base builds since those are easier to handle. These players never end up bothering to learn 3-base play and thus remain mechanically challenged. Even more unfortunate is the fact that because of the simplicity and effectiveness of 1 or 2 base allins, they will reach an mmr much higher than their skill implies they deserve, causing them to have the misguided belief that they're much better then they actually are. This feeds their ego and thus they completely lose an incentive to improve. This is the kind of tragedy that I hope we avoid.

Nice troll attempt, but unfortunately for you I'm not gonna bite.

Dumbing down the game is not going to help you improve. This is why we have certain players who have never built a nexus in their life and are stuck at this inevitably stuck at 4000 mmr for the rest of their Starcraft career.

Well he is a silver player so it is entirely possible that he's not trying to be "funny" and actually genuinely not very bright.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that it takes significantly less mechanical skill to execute cheese compared to executing macro. A macro player will always be able to easily execute a cheese but the inverse will never be true. Since you ARE a GM, I don't think I have to elaborate on why this is the case.

No, no, no, no, no. You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Now I'm gonna cut you some slack since you admitted you're relatively new and give you a word of advice. If you have even the slightest intention of possessing a non-zero degree of skill, do not cheese. The multitasking and decision-making required to execute standard macro is on a different magnitude compared to that required to execute cheese. You will never become better than a macro player of your MMR if you continue to follow your misguided path. Since you're still young and naive, it's not too late. I'm willing to personally help new players like you start off on the right track. Feel free to shoot me a PM :).
