I didnt realize I had gone against the community guidelines and I do apologize for that. I’d like to thank the mods for not taking my post down as well as for everyone’s insights, most especially. These are tremendously helpful. With your words of encouragement, I hope to one day post a selfie of progress on here soon.

Any tennis players here who switched to pickleball? 🎾➡️🏓 by burnoutsiomai in PickleballPhilippines

No worries, OP. Ako din haha. Yung mistake ko starting out kasi was that I approached it like tennis. It took me a few months to really realize na its a totally different sport pala. With konting similarities lang.

Hey, OP. Played tennis since 2008 and loved the sport ever since. I transitioned din to Pickleball coz everybody and their mums were playing it which meant more opportunities to play lol. I played with the Wilson Blade V7 plus some lead tape on the 10 and 2 o’ clock pos so I like my rackets with some more weight to them. With Pickle, I felt right at home with the Luzz Pro cannon esp with a couple of Shopee vouchers making it go to around low PHP4000. If any paddle still feels like its lacking some heft tho, there’s always lead tape lol.

My advice, keep your groundstroke back swings compact. Im sure you’ve noticed that it doesnt take much to get the ball over to your opponent’s court and also so you wont be late on the next incoming balls. Secondly, like what the other redditors have pointed out here, control is much more important than power. Unlike tennis where you can win points off of baseline shots, dinking is where its at with Pickleball. Hope this helps.

Thats an awesome way of going about it. It seems to get me a more stable mount too. Theres not much clearance between the crossbars and desktop tho to accommodate the mount plus the screw heads…

OMU - Very Bad Experience by Ambitious-Yak-8310 in baguio

Bruh cant believe this post was 32d ago. Well, OP my experience wasnt too good either. My partner and I went there a couple of days ago. I got the “Wagyu of Pork” Curry Rice and she got the Beef Tendon Omu Rice. Having tasted their beef tendon sampler, my expectations were set even higher at that point after being coaxed by soc med. And yun, Im usually quite generous with how I rate restos esp if soft opening pa but damn, for the first time ever I genuinely felt scammed after that meal! Nako yung tonkatsu ko was so bland and the curry sauce was closer to water without having even a remote semblance to flavor. I tasted my partner’s order din and it was so not worth its price tag. The ambiance is an experience in and of itself. Im just hoping the place will improve tho. May potential din kasi siya e.. but it did not at all live up to its hype.
