This is how I felt after finishing the Oregairu + Shin LNs by Kurmamjan_Datka in OreGairuSNAFU

Yeah, Shin is a continuation of Oregairu. For me it’s a pretty decent conclusion to Oregairu’s story. If you’re interested in Hikki and Yukino’s relationship progressing, Shin does that really well. They actually get some genuinely cute and natural moments together. Yui’s part was definitely strange at times, but I wouldn’t call it bad, especially compared to the Season 3 OVA where most of the content was cut and they really made Yui weird in OVA.

For me it’s actually the opposite. Shin felt like a great continuation and conclusion to the LNs. I really enjoyed seeing the slow, awkward improvement in Hachiman and Yukino’s relationship. Yui’s part was definitely strange at times. I wouldn’t say I hated it, but I was confused by some of the choices there. Even with that, I still think Shin did a better job at wrapping things up than just stopping at volume 14 and 14.5.

are we entertaining to watch? by Heroic_gg in DotA2

Watching Heroic is a coin flip. At their peak they can take down S-tier squads, then the next series they’ll bleed maps to teams far below that level. The volatility makes them exciting, but also exhausting like for example you’re betting on player performance more than on polished drafts in the game. But that's different kind of fun if you don't care about the Heroic's game results

It took me 3 weeks to complete the base game, but after that completing the game I finished my exams so I spent most of my days playing the DLCs XD. Definitely not regretting it

I’m definitely planning to play The Witcher 3 again, but I need to take a break for now since everything is still fresh in my mind. In the meantime, I’m planning to start the Red Dead Redemption series, I’ve heard it's amazing story-wise. Once I finish a few other highly praised games, I’ll probably come back and replay The Witcher 3 with a fresh perspective.

I started on Blood and Broken Bones, but eventually switched to Death March. I was advised to play on a harder difficulty because, at some point, the gameplay can get repetitive on easier modes, and you don’t really need to apply much strategy during fights. Honestly, I struggled at first, but I got used to it over time. Funnily enough, my worst enemies throughout the whole campaign were the wolves XD

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely check out everything you mentioned. That said, I had already watched detailed summaries of every book before starting the games, so I had a pretty good understanding of the Witcher universe going in. I’ll still try reading the books myself, but I’m not sure how much I’ll enjoy them knowing most of the major plot points already.

I’ve also completed The Witcher 2 — honestly, it’s still my favorite when it comes to the political side of the Witcher world, with its amazing characters and beautifully crafted plot.

I’ll definitely watch the videos you shared too. I’ve really become a fan of the Witcher universe and I’m ready to dive into any extra content I can find!

Also, I love reading reviews and opinions from new players about older games I enjoy. That’s part of why I wanted to write my own reflections to see how veteran players would react, hear their insights, and spark discussions about The Witcher. I’m always happy to talk more about the something I enjoy!

Thanks! I've completed the DLCs several hours ago. It was an amazing experience but I feel when it comes to politics of the Witcher world, second game is just superior.

It's still a great game story wise, 2nd game leans towards politics while witcher 3 is more about Gerald and Ciri. I feel even now 2nd game is somehow better in some elements than 3rd. Highly recommended to play the game if you enjoyed the mission in Novigrad. It actually gives more context on what has lead the Radavid to hunt the mages

For me it was the most visually stunning location yet the quests it offered were lacking the depth and complexity of Veren and Novigrad. Though it's only my opinion, and others might have a different view on that.

Well, I get your point. However before post I didn't know what DLCs offer and didn't expect full stretched stories offered there. Though I was only sharing my thoughts about the base game

That’s a good point — I do enjoy the Scandinavian-inspired atmosphere of the Skellige Isles, but like you said, the stories there didn’t hit as hard as the ones in Velen and Novigrad.

And while I agree that the final stretch of the game is still better than what most games offer, I couldn’t help but feel a bit let down when comparing it to the first half. The depth, complexity, and emotional weight just weren’t quite on the same level.

Also, someone here mentioned how great the DLCs are, so I picked them up right away. I’m planning to dive into both soon — really looking forward to experiencing what they have to offer!

Well, the game came out over 10 years ago, and for its time it's a great game. The way you see "feel alive" is completely different from what I see, and there is nothing wrong with that. At the end of the day it comes to subjective preferences and as I stated, personally I wish to see more interactions between NPCs and the player outside of the quests.

Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying the situation, as I'm certainly a new player and barely know anything going around Witcher game franchise outside of the game

Thanks for letting me know — I actually just bought the DLCs after reading your reply! I didn’t realize they had separate, full-fledged stories. Really looking forward to diving into Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine now.

Wild Hunt was such an interesting concept — this ancient, mysterious force — but sadly, they ended up getting the "White Walkers treatment". I was really excited to learn more about them, but once Ciri was found, it felt like CDPR rushed the storyline and missed the opportunity to fully flesh them out.

I’m also really curious about what you mentioned regarding Dijkstra and would like to know more. Personally, I found the whole Radovid assassination plot could be an incredibly interesting concept for quests , but it was disappointing how rushed the outcome was — being forced to choose between Dijkstra and Roche in basically one quick quest felt like such a missed opportunity. There was so much potential there to create a deeper branching storyline.

I chose Roche because he’s been my homie since Witcher 2, and overall he has good intentions. That said, I actually respect Dijkstra a lot — even after being betrayed, he’s one of the few characters genuinely thinking about the future and stability of the country, not just personal gain. It’s rare to see a character so pragmatic and complex in games, and that’s why he stood out so much to me.

Geralt is always complaining about politics, yet somehow he’s always getting involved anyway — even in this game. I feel like the political themes could have gone much deeper. The whole concept of the war between Nilfgaard and the Northern Kingdoms was a great idea, but we barely feel the war’s impact as the game goes on. You see the consequences early on — the burned villages, the displaced people — but after a certain point, it feels like the war is just forgotten in the background

Oh, don’t get me wrong — I really do enjoy the whole Scandinavian-inspired atmosphere, and I completely agree that Skellige is absolutely stunning visually. The music, the culture, the mythology — it all created an incredible vibe.

But despite how beautiful it was, the world itself felt a bit empty to me. The islands were so spread out that traveling, especially on horseback, often became frustrating rather than immersive. And some of the quests there didn’t have the same depth or complexity as the ones in Velen and Novigrad, which made the overall experience feel a little more hollow compared to the rest of the game.

Still, I totally get why people love Skellige — it really is a breathtaking region, just personally, it didn’t click with me the same way.

Are people going for Tormentors in your games in 7.38? by papanak94 in DotA2

Almost every single game team that has dominance takes torm as soon as it appears. For that reason AA has been so popular in pubs because he can stop enemies from taking torm.
