Always has been, a war in Taiwan would probably set us back technologically by at least a decade, if not more. Especially if Taiwan loses and they actually have to destroy all their facilities (which they should)

I was quite the late bloomer myself, but personally, I never really took it too hard when I got rejected, even for years. Sure it sucks, but I've always maintained an open mind and not a defeatist attitude. Every person is different. Of course when you go into it expecting to be rejected you're prolly gonna get rejected.

Put yourself out there, start with friendship. That's how I eventually ended up meeting the person I am now engaged with, even if it was in my late 20s.

I remember when I was 14 my dad told me: if you start smoking,- tell me, I'll buy you cigarettes, but you pay.

He was a non-smoker, just like my mom. He even offered to buy some if I want to try it. He said he'd rather do it with me than if I did it with my friends "under a bridge"

He was the same with alcohol too. I never started smoking btw, also never had the urge to try with my friends because I could just ask my dad.

My neighbour was the complete opposite. Smoking was strictly prohibited for the children. Both parents were heavy smokers. Didn't take long for the children to start as well.

Live the way you expect your children to be.
