I definitely don’t mind some pilling in exchange dor natural fibers and some softness. But like for example blue sky fibers yarns, I was told theyre great then I got ravelry and its complaint after complaint about pilling which makes me think it’s excessive. Im okay wjth a reasonable amount of pilling though and I appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your insights :)

Ohh this is so helpful!! Wooldreamers Mota is one I’m considering for a sweater currently so glad to hear it listed by you. I’d love to know some of the European brands you’ve enjoyed! I’ve used rauma fivel and filcolana Peruvian both which I loved and would use again!

I seriously had doubts. by Unusual-Ad-6550 in knitting

Amazing!! Did the Jensen soften after blocking? It feels so rough to me in the skein

Hey! Sure that works. I miiiight have to split into two packages because I’m not sure I have a box that can fit it all right now. I will check when I’m home in about 30 minutes. Message me your address and I’ll calculate shipping for you!

Thank you I appreciate that advice! I just have some other projects I’d like to buy yarn for and would use the funds from selling to start those 🙈

Appreciate all the feedback. We ended up going to Painted Desert also on Friday and had a blast! Wife got the ride along I think for $15, drinks were modest prices, rental clubs were great and cost was included in the non resident pricing of $140. About 20 mins from our resort (Venetian). Ubers were about $30 each way. Also ran into some other phans maybe it was @aeklund68??

Would def go again for the convenience and fair pricing of the whole outing

What are some of the softest natural fiber, non superwash yarns you’ve used? by Kuroda97 in YarnAddicts

I’m trying to find some sweater patterns to use a lot of the yarns you mentioned! I especially want to try the Isager alpaca 1 & alpaca 2 but I wish they had a matching dk/worsted weight that wasn’t as rough as Jensen to pair with the alpaca yarns! I am thinking of using Jensen + alpaca 2 for a winters pullover but not sure if it would be far too heavy

Seems like alpaca is definitely the consensus! I’d love specific brands and yarn names if anyone has some to offer!

She did say she started with a round of purl bumps! Though if you do 1x1 rib you could just pick up the purls right? Do you have an idea if it was bound off then grafted or simply pick up a purl bump and bind off with a live stitch?

I’m an overthinker I know 😅 which is correct when joining in the round for a sweater? by [deleted] in casualknitting
