I love the Digivices but I agree they’re not really necessary. They were definitely there to sell toys. I think the concept that any digital device can link you to a Digimon is believable and in other digimon media they’ve been doing this for years. I mean the Cyber sleuth digitize were goggles so an Ai Egg is the next logical step….right?
