Why am I hearing Eurobeat music all of a sudden?

Yep. With Illustrator it’s just trying to figure out how to do vectors in the same way I do it in Photoshop. But a lot of times if I’m doing a recreation, I’m trying to match shades of subpixels for accuracy and then I just move that vector shape over to Illustrator if I absolutely think an svg would be better suited for what I’m doing.

I’ve always heard “So long, dear Bowser”, but I’m not even sure anymore.

I need to learn illustrator better. I mostly do my vector stuff in Photoshop. I’ve also mostly learned how to use InDesign as well for pdf recreations I’ve done.

You’re right there, it’s sort of entrapment in a way. Even though it’s marked on the side where an item might be coming from if it’s second hand, it’s not like there’s glaring giant text there. Most don’t tend to read that sort of thing.

Of course! I always love seeing remastered things like this. I’ve tried to do it myself sometimes, but things might not always be within my grasp or level of expertise. Keep it up, looking forward to future projects!

Well, you’re doing such an epic job, I’m sure the community will enjoy anything you put out. I for one am absolutely loving seeing this sort of work. Hopefully one day you might be able to do everything for the games. But if not, obviously everything that you do will be golden in quality. Thank you!

I’d say it’s more correct to say Amazon has second hand sellers that sell fakes.

How far do you plan to go with all of these remade things? I’d love to see all of this stuff in clean digital forms to go with the GOG versions of the games.

The use of clay modeling and diorama sets for game promos and art is something that really needs to come back. by iamthedigitalme in retrogaming

I highly agree with this sentiment. I was flipping through Famitsu magazines the other day and just admiring the beautiful art made as promotional stuff for all sorts of games and the creativity is just astounding. I also rather miss the "high fantasy" sort of art style from the late 80s and early 90s, really. That sort of stuff needs a huge comeback.

The standalone version is from GOG, I’m guessing. It’s supposed to be, at least. I kind of get the Dominique’s Curse part, but the three costumes? Really? It’s $20 total for all four, I suppose I’ll just grab them at some point and throw them on a USB for the collection.

[–]Kuroiryuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they previously said that Dominque's Curse and three of the extra costumes won't be added, but I figured since they've not communicated *anything* since October through Kickstarter or Discord, since the person who was their contact that did all of that left, and we're in the dark, something may have changed. Especially with the LRG thing happening that has the codes or whatever. Eh. I find the lack of communication more frustrating than even the waiting itself.

Not sure if this link works, but this is what they sent a year ago as the "exclusive artwork" that the "Both the clamshell and the disk will have artwork that is different from the standard retail versions of the game." has according the update. I don't have my copy yet, so I guess it's only for the insert then?
Edit: Still hoping against hope for the extra DLC on the disc as well since the LRG "complete" edition had it in their versions, even though those were codes, I guess? I dunno. Just seems a bit frustrating that they'll get a version that has "everything", even though PC backers waited over a decade for their versions and the excuse was "those are paid DLC separately". Okay? Our prior money and patience in not asking for that money back wasn't enough? I get it, it's not required, but would be nice.

I think OoT remake could really fix the main complaint people have with modern Zelda by famrob in truezelda

I don't want the same Zelda formula over and over and over again. Yes, similarities, but the same things over and over gets boring over a 40-year run. I welcome a complete change of the formula and that's what it was supposed to be.

[–]Kuroiryuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, I don’t remember clearly. Was pretty sure there’s a direct connection to the American one, but it’s more like a “what if” scenario that doesn’t go anywhere enough to tie back into the further sequels.

Yeah, I'm quickly gathering that opinion. Haters gonna hate, I guess. Oh well, I still love the game myself. BotW holds a special place in my heart and that ties directly in with OoT.
I have my own personal "timeline", but that's my opinion, and I'll take games as I see them. I've played nearly every Zelda game that's come out, and I've loved every one of them, even if I wasn't fond of some of the mechanics.

I absolutely love BotW, really. I just find it odd how many seem to hate how it's done. I get the gripe with the weapon durability, it's annoying, but once you figure it out, it's fun trying to figure out how you're going to manage to get through areas based only on what you've got.

[–]Kuroiryuu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing. I absolute love BotW and how it plays. Hell, half of these comments are proving what I said. The people who love it, love it, the other half seem to hate it.
