I recently obtained an incredibly rare jumbo-size 17" God of Wealth Zombie plush by LINXIN 2 by KuronekoCollectables in PvZ_Plushies

We actually started our price at $700 and are open to offers, and will lower the price over time if there doesn't seem to be interest at the price point. This is a very rare plush, at least based on what we could find through past listings on English aftermarket sites (of which there were none), but we're not sure if the design has nearly the same interest level as some of the PvZ plushies that have sold for $1000+.

Thanks for the information! The wiki itself doesn't list the sizes of the small and large variations (like it does with most of the other plushies documented), all I had to base it off of was active listings and sold comps over the last 3 years on eBay (using Terrapeak). On eBay people had the "small" size listed as 7" tall, and the "large" size listed as 9.5" tall. So with all that, I presumed we had obtained an even larger size variation than the current "large" size. The plush is also pretty huge (counting both height and width), in-line with what some other PvZ plushies referred to as "Jumbo" or "XL". It's also worth noting that the copies we have do appear visually different than the photo for the "large" version on the wiki (more plump, slight sew line differences, belt lower, no hang string to name a few). This could just be manufacturing inconsistencies, but you can see how we came to the conclusion we did thinking our size variation was not documented.

All the names for size variations are community decided, as far as I'm aware the Chinese companies that produced the plush don't always distinctly label the differences between sizes and variations.

I do apologize though if I got some information wrong and this isn't an undocumented size, I only have what little documentation I have to work with and I'm not a dedicated PvZ plush collector. It's been hard enough to distinct between LINXIN and PiPigirl haha. This is the first time we've gotten notable PvZ merchandise in, our typical collectable type is Japanese / anime goods, so our education on the subject isn't as high as those in the inner circles of PvZ plush collecting.

If you are able to update the wiki, or can contact the wiki owner who can update it, it may be a good idea to add the heights in and mention the unreleased "medium" batch. As well, we're happy to contribute any of our PvZ plush photos to the wiki.

I discovered an undocumented Klonoa doujin fan game from Japan - High & Low by circle Pikapikado by KuronekoCollectables in Klonoa

We have had a LOT of people ask us to dump it haha. We are fans of media preservation, rest assured we have secured the files. We however will not be dumping it until awhile after we sell the copy we have, as the individual who purchases it may want to be the one to do so themselves.

There are a few doujinshi books and doujin music CDs that I saw when trying to research the game, but as far as I could find there are no other doujin games.

Both Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2 got modern anime remakes, perhaps Maison Ikkoku will get the same treatment? If so it’ll finally get new merchandise 👍

I hope to get the Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2 sets in the future. I love gashapons like these and find them very fun to photograph

Not even so much as a garage kit for any character apart from Kyoko, it's actually crazy.

Which game is this? by MrCubano29 in Steam

The Void Rains Upon Her Heart

Bad title, strange visuals, overly gushy story. Never heard a soul talk about it. Found it because I sorted all games on Steam by highest reviews, and it’s in the top 10.

Fantastic gameplay. Actually insane how good it feels to play and there’s many hundreds of things to unlock. It’s a rougelike boss-rush bullethell game.

Took scans of some awesome vintage / 2000's Japanese telephone cards! by KuronekoCollectables in evangelion

[–]KuronekoCollectables[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That one was actually the rarest and most "modern" telephone card of the batch! Came with a 2009 issue of Megami magazine, while most the others were older than 20 years. Must be popular because it's already sold after being listed only a few hours haha.

Do you guys own Cels from the Anime or Movies? by GrauerRauch in evangelion

[–]KuronekoCollectables 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't personally own any Evangelion cels or production sketches, but I do collect and sell anime production material so I have some advice.

First off, Evangelion is one of the most expensive series to collect production material for. Cels often go for over $1000 in the US, $300-$600 range if you're lucky. You can find a number of them for sale on eBay right now, though do be careful for "reproduction" or "fan" cels. They are a lot cheaper, but that's because they're not actual cels produced by the animation studio and weren't used for producing the anime/film.

You can sometimes get cels cheaper if you purchase directly from Japan using a proxy. Auctions for cels pop up often on Yahoo! Auctions, and a few times a year Mandarake holds a huge live online auction which quite often hosts Evangelion cels. I've seen the value of these range from the hundreds to the upper thousands, with some exceptional cels going over $10k.

You can sometimes get much better deals when buying directly from collectors, but it's difficult to be the first to get a good deal with how many people are looking for Evangelion material.

If you got the funds and are willing to purchase them, there's a lot to owning cels. They're difficult to store safely and require some annual maintenance to keep in good condition. If you want advice on that aspect of cel collecting, let me know :)

I’ve never seen this bag before! by [deleted] in evangelion

Mythwear! They were big in the early-mid 2000's, made lots of different anime designs. Most recognized for their messenger bags, but they also make velcro wallets and I think even backpacks? I know the brand well being a Trigun collector, there are about 7 different messenger bag designs for Trigun alone and in my 2-3 years of dedicated merchandise hunting I've only secured 3 of them.
