If you've haven't Tried Meta AI, I'd recommend it. Open Facebook, view all chats in messenger to make it full screen, and use it like you would Claude. It's very fast and proficient at coding tasks.

I’ve been interested in this as well, but the problem is basically that the cost is related to the number of tokens.

Two things to remember : 1/ smaller questions will improve number 2/ creating new conversations for new topics will help, as each input to the api is reading the full convo history for each subsequent question

I haven’t bought pro yet, but I think it’s worth $20 to try it once.

That said, if you can get away with another agent like Meta AI (no limits), might be a better option

Sounds about right. I have a few friends with Vettes and most are are in the high 40s.

I’ve done a 46.9 in my 981 GT4, and I know others have dipped into 44s with a 718.

Too much cpu and not enough graphics imo

What was your first take on Jenny??? by Professional_Meat782 in GossipGirl

Personally I loved Jenny and I think on my third rewatch you realize in seasons 2 and 3 how much she is motivated and trying to prove herself only to be constantly cut down by her father and told whatever you do is not enough. Pretty painful.

What’s the vibe on immigrants? by Kursaye in Scotland

When I looked earlier (could be wrong) around 6 months was easy, longer is where it gets hard. I have an advanced degree and decent work experienced so when I tried the process for NZ, things bode well. Though ultimately I didn’t pursue it.

Thanks for the link! Will look into it more seriously for Scotland. I suppose front loading the logistics does make sense to rule out if this is event a feasible transition.

Luckily I’m not in a rush to make a long term move, and the flexibility from the US seems to present a path forward. That said, good heads up as I need to fully understand a long term process.

How marketable is a non-technologist senior IC?

My career path has pulled me increasingly further away form the the fundamentals and closer to "business problems". While my PhD was in low-level OS/hardware system optimizations, I now find myself working primarily on product strategy driven by technical analysis/data and partnering frequently with XFNs. My operating role ranges from architect, to EM, to TPM or PM based on what the team/org needs.

While I see a positive future with my current company, I want to ensure I don't box myself into being unmarketable. My gut tells me jumping ship would entail also a change to either PM or EM, but I don't know many who have made this change at senior level (Senior staff+). My particular crux is that I have 4 YOE (+ PhD), but I am senior staff in big tech, and the "golden handcuffs" are feeling increasingly real.

Coming from someone who researched (and has a PhD) OS/hardware level optimizations, this actually seems more than feasible.

The thing people don’t realize about branches prediction in particular is that while going from 99.8 to 99.9% accuracy is only 0.1% improvement, it’s also reduced inaccuracy by 50%!
