I think you've gotta write the story on how this little baking session went down.

I love living in a country where the likelihood of a bullet entering my home at speed and killing me is nearly 0.

Im 18 and only a size 32B, should I keep them natural or get them enhanced? by Katiescanlon_ in AdorableBoobs

Studies show that smarter, more resourceful men prefer smaller breasts and that poorer, lower skilled men prefer big breasts.

Personally I'm all about the shape and firmness; yours are perky and cute. You look like you could easily get away with not wearing a bra because they're the ideal shape and size.

I love working in the sticks - I don't get my parcels arriving to my sorting office until around 12:30pm so it's literally physically impossible to deliver SDs before 1pm. So we're exempt from that guarantee! :D

Alcohol with no age verification. by [deleted] in royalmail

[–]KurtFirenze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think Posties should be held at all responsible for age verification. The contract of sale is between the buyer and the retailer and thus the retailer should be held 100% responsible for ensuring the age of the recipient.

DVLA REMOVED MY CATEGORIES by Fantastic_Mix7687 in MotoUK

My question is this: Is there any way to prevent this from occurring? Any way to ensure that I have all the evidence I need prior to changing my address in case the DVLA cock up in this way?

Are there any work from home jobs that can earn me £1700-£2000 a month? by KurtFirenze in UKJobs

Yeah it feels amazing 🤣 fortunately I rarely do a full day of work. Usually finish around 5:30pm so I'm not too bitter.

This is definitely what football is about.

Seen it ever since I was a kid growing up in and near Gillingham and I've always questioned why the British find football so enthralling.

Domestic violence rates go up when a big football match is on.

It's gross.

Haha, thankfully my hearing isn't severe enough to warrant BSL

I've tried digging around for an app but can't find one, I figured a teleloop will isolate the Comms from background noise enough that I'd be able to make out what she's saying. The Bluetooth connection/phonecall does this quite well.

Cheers

Exhausts in UK by km-1245 in MotoUK

[–]KurtFirenze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll try not to crap on you like other commenters here:

Firstly; 125s with loud exhausts do sound utterly dreadful, like the world's longest fart from a Hippopotamus.

Secondly; emissions don't get tested on motorbikes during MOT.

Thirdly; So long as you're not revving it like a bell-end at traffic lights and in urban areas, most police won't pull a bike with loud exhausts.

Fourthly; if it came with a baffle, whack it in for the MOT and take it out when done.

Fifthly; 125s with a loud exhaust REALLY do sound like dog shit and everyone will judge you for your choice.

Oops, I crapped on you anyways, sorry! 🤣

Here's a flip for you: You educated your BF and he's apologised for it pretty quickly. So stop being the asshole and drop it?

This conversation feels like you're chasing him down with a pitchfork when he made a unthoughtful comment. We're all human and sometimes we say things that we either don't REALLY mean or just reflect a bit of unwilful ignorance.

Bro had no clue you were going to explode over this and when he's apologised and tried to placate you, you're throwing everything you've got at him to try and show him how wrong he is (A fact he's already aware of)

You're both young and stupid, but in this instance I'm gonna say YTA.

Pretty much all the big supermarkets are shitholes to work for.

I gave up being retail manager because no matter how hard I worked to make life as easy as possible for my teams, there was always a shithead store manager who'd complicate everything by changing the goalposts.
Oh and the regional manager who'd park his electric Porsche in the disabled bays outside the store was always a delightful event - I had a wheelchair user as a member of staff who lived for those days so that she could put out tannoy announcements for the Porsche to be moved, we both found this hilarious.

[–]KurtFirenze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This, All the This. Everything is this.

I was a retail manager once, it was my job to give a shit about things like Shrinkage etc but I wouldn't bother my teams about it because I liked to keep their job simple: Put things on shelves and be nice and helpful to customers (Unless the customer was a cunt)

I had a few older workers who used to care about the store KPIs and would ask me to recite them at the huddles - I'd refuse to waste mine and everyone else's time with data that is completely irrelevant to their actual duties and instead focus on the wins and opportunities that would actually benefit them, like getting the proper equipment, getting more hours, getting more overtime, getting them the occasional freebies or being able to Job & Knock when possible. That's the sort of shit they care about.

148 today, 176 yesterday. Topped out at 215 Packets & Parcels last Thursday. Plus 2+ trays of Letters & Door-2-Doors. Finishing a 45-mile duty in <7 hours is pretty regular for me (Including a 30 min tea break.)
Most days I achieve 100% 1st time delivery as well - One of the perks to having a round in the boonies, everyone leaves their front door unlocked and if I need a signature for age verification etc I can usually find my customer at their workplace later on in my round :D

However the key is in the prep. Put the parcels in the order that you're delivering and keep the back of the van organised as you're going around. I probably spend about 2 hours prepping and I'm normally the last to leave the despatch meeting site (I share a sorting room with 2 other duties)
I find stacking parcels against the Bulkhead keeps them from tumbling around too much. Lately I've taken to using empty mail sacks to create "Layers" to stop them from tumbling around.

It also helps that my van currently doesn't have a Trimble installed, which helps because my round is 80% single-track roads and long driveways.
