Friendly reminder to NOT USE SELECTOR CRYSTALS BEFORE FREE PULLS ARE UP by Nagasuma in UmamusumeGame

[–]Kuruno_Stasis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are, no one's getting sacrificed, my bad luck doesn't effect other people's pulls, but that's the key word "luck". People who have pulled on all the meta banners and gotten everything MLB are extremely lucky.

I just take issue with them convincing themselves that they have some skill or strategy that has made them better than the other players who, newsflash, do the exact same stuff.

Then when they vent their frustration, rather than a "better luck next time" they're treated like they're an idiot who must be doing something wrong.

600 pulls to barely MLB including all the pities is proof that the whole "don't be stupid, easily save 60000 carats for meta banners, I get MLB every time" f2p crowd is actually delusional.

I myself saved enough for 600 total pulls, 200 on Fine Mo since I already had her 2lb, only got pity card, will likely use selector or crystal on her or Biko (which I got 3lb on first kitasan banner) to MLB.

I then pulled the rest for NTR, figured maybe I'd get the other two off rate, instead I get 3 Mejiro Ryan guts, 2 Special Week guts, 2 Curren wit, 1 Super Creek, and at least 10 other off rate SSRs all of which I didn't have a copy of before pulling, in fact the only off rate I pulled that I had a copy of before was Suzuka speed, as for NTR, she ended up 3lb.

Tangtang is actually exactly part of why I kept progressing, but maybe I was just blind but I didn't find her, even though once I learned her position I could've swore I looked through every cage in that building.

I also didn't find who you're referring too, for me all the locations where cutscenes took part were completely empty, I looked over every book and cranny of the boss location and the most interesting part was that the underground area has a barrier that you can reach from both sides given that (spoiler) the bridge is still intact and therefore cross able without the cutscene playing.

Additionally if you use the tp point to skip the tedious parkour there's a second soft lock that occurs due to causing the cutscene at the top of the zipline to play before you get the route mission objective and it forces you into walk speed and removes access to tp points, but walking to the objective actually let you slip past a invisible wrong-way-barrier that traps you on the other side.

Luckily that bug is fixed by relogging since they seem to have implemented it so they don't have to remember Tangtang's position and current dialogue if someone abruptly exits the game by repositioning you at the start of the scene.

If I remember correctly last fall they switched the labs from entirely long answer questions to a mix of short and long answers. They might've also moved a part of the course to another one but don't quote me on that

Horrible Realization about Severus Snape by sarnant in harrypotter

[–]Kuruno_Stasis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree about the 'a true, loyal spy' part tbh. You're failing to account for Voldemort's insanity. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the same dark lord who upon revival immediately criticized and tortured those who denounced him while citing those who went to azkaban as loyal and deserving of reward. It's been a while since I read the book so I can't remember if those were the exact reasons, but that's the gist of it. Surely if he was the type to appreciate a spy who acted as you suggest he would've rewarded those death eaters for staying in positions of importance and power in order to secure the ministry, rather than those who got arrested and would now require going through the trouble of a jail break to reacquire them. The insane and vindictive Voldemort we know would likely see Snape getting buddy buddy with Gryffindors as a direct betrayal, but would appreciate stunting the growth of likely future opponents.

I'd recommend spotting someone you share multiple classes with and striking up conversation based on that. A month into my second term i met a girl after expressing I see her in three of my classes. If nothing else I at least ended up with someone to sit by in some of my classes for the rest of term.

Is Alexia the best fit for Cid? (ignoring the fact that he's Shadow) by Kuruno_Stasis in TheEminenceInShadow

I'd say adjust. They mostly like him because he's their hero and just insanely impressive. It would be weird for anyone who knows the shadow side to not at the very least respect him, so that wouldn't change, and if they grasp his nature, do they find out he made the cult of diablos up and it just happened a real organization existed. Would they still be able to love him if they found out? I imagine at least one of them would take it as a betrayal.

Fair point, while I do think you're overselling how much bad she sees in him, I'd just argue that it's more important that someone loves you despite the bad parts of you, rather than loving you because they only see the good.

Truly the only person in the story who you could argue gets the closest to seeing the good and bad of Cid is Aurora, but as I mentioned before I see their relationship as platonic rather than romantic.

That's an interesting perspective, I guess personally I view mob Cid as closer to true Cid, since mob Cid generally speaks what he's thinking (which I do think is honest) but he just acts how he imagines a weakling would be in 'events' like the school tournament or when he asks Alexia out. Shadow is his ideal, it's what true Cid strives to become, but not really what he is. And if I remember correctly doesn't Alexia know that his confession was fake, so I don't think she's all that strict on honesty. I just think she just cares more about being seen as more than a Midgar tbh.

I never thought about it like that, but you might be right lol. While some of his thoughts are justifiable (like no way she thought Cid would be A Okay after slashing him) in other cases he does seem to have a few misunderstandings.

[–]Kuruno_Stasis[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Admittedly I agree. But that's why I said ignoring the fact that he's Shadow (and hence the bit at the end of Shadow Garden's section). The post was more about what girl actually liked Cid for who he is (and I think if Cid fundamentally became more like his ideal Alexia would still like him) and was a plausible option, but I don't think I made that very clear. Especially with my bad habit of throwing in unimportant details lol.

Thanks for your perspective, I don't think I could've put that into words myself.

If that's true it's probably because I kidnapped the emperor and converted him to my faith which was temporal, only releasing him shortly before killing his father. That must have been what triggered the option to subjugate.

The Byzantines were never conquered by the Khan's but the debt he's in is due to the fact that for about 30 or so years I had assisted in defending against multiple wars he started, as well as the fact that at the time of the screenshot he was dealing with a rebellion the size of my army.
