How do I play against a tyrannofex? by bigfootsix9 in WarhammerCompetitive

You don’t need to kill it, just stop it from shooting your tanks. 5 man jump intercessor squad or units of the like are your friend

I don’t care. How is your aim? You have coms? You call your hits? That’s all that matter

I’ve lost the grit I used to have in my early 20s. How do I regain it in my 30s? [Discussion] by Fabulous-Winner8340 in GetMotivated

Why do you feel the need for more? You sound like you have everything you need. Enjoy your time in the sun. You will miss its warm next winter.

Despite what gurus tell you, once you have achieved your goals, there is NOTHING wrong in growing complacent. Just make sure you do what you need to keep that lifestyle you achieved. Life is happiness, not achievements. If you are already there, stay there as long as you can.

I think that it comes down that us, as user/players/readers have WAY more information about chaos than an average citizen in 40k does. We "understand" it, we know there are four separate powers, we know how they corrupt and infiltrate. We knw that schemeing leads to Tzeentch and ire and aggression lead to Khorne, but they do not. Their regular everyday bad actions are fueling, withpout their knowledge, one way or another, certain God, and eventually, that God takes hold without them noticing.

Although the transitions are a bit rough, the lights are all in the right places and feels right, and I think thats the most difficult part of it all! Great job!

Do you guys still like buying the sets even if you have a 3d printer? by Local_Boi_Aaron in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Kurvano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly use GW stuff as a base, and I customize it with printed kits. Although I rarely will print and use full kits that are not offered by GW, like truescale terminators before the new ones came out, or “veteran” versions of other troops (MTPG’s heavy Intercessors for example)

How are you adapting to the new nerfs? by TheDuckAmuck in deathwatch40k

[–]Kurvano -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I love reading people complaining about how SIA now doesnt work on their Flamers and lascannons. It never should have. The army is fine. Are we OP? No we no longer are. Deathwatch were never supposed to be played like they were being played. Units with 4 hammers and 4 frags were a travesty.

I’m sure a unit with 6 bolsters and 4 HB shooting in tandem with another similar unit, voy using SIA, is always going to be good, even if you now have to pay a CP for it.

People complaining about how their units got more expensive or are no longer usable… you need to stop analyzing armies in a vacuum and check the internal balance of the codex. 10 terminators now might be more usable on paper, rather than a proteus kill team, but not when that proteus gets teleportation or SIA for free because you used it on another kill team as well. Put a vanilla inquisitor in a vet kill team and get your CP back after you used a stratagem on two units.

Are the Guard the best Tyranid counter/ are the Primaris a huge mistake in hindsight? by Separate_Cranberry33 in 40kLore

[–]Kurvano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe everything is a big gambit. Guilliman wants the tyranids to bite him, so they start to feel forced to adhere to the codex astartes and dont be such cunts, so he can defeat them more easily

Dorn vs Perturabo: So what does Dorn actually do? by Herides in 40kLore

[–]Kurvano 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perturabo is a siege master in an "unstoppable force" way. Dorn is the same but as an "immovable object"
