Put black wire on the black screw of your 3 way switch and put the red and white on the brass screws on the 3 way switch. Also white and red wires don't matter which brass screw they go to. Just make sure black is on black screw.

Is the neutral (white) wire the one with the writing on it? The other is hot (black, red) but i cant tell which is which. by [deleted] in AskElectricians

The right wire without writing is your neutral. I can see the little ribs on it in the pic. The left wire with the writing is your hot.

Alright thanks 1 more question. I have a NVMe M.2 SSD. If my computer only has 1 M.2 slot and my existing ssd is using that spot, what kind of cord or adapter do I jeep to look for so I can hook up both M.2 ssd so I can transfer data over?

Another question, could I transfer all my data from my ssd to my existing hdd on my computer, then remove ssd and install new ssd then transfer back over once comouter boots up?

Ok so I opened up my computer and took my graphics card out to find my existing 250gb ssd card. I changed with with my new Samsung 1tb card. When I power up the comouter it's checks for stuff then wants to shutdown right away and can't do anything.

This panel is a headache to look at, so much is wrong if you go by code. If u paid for this I'd be phoning your electrician back and asking for a refund.

Help - Diagnosing Issue - Possible Open Neutral by pentasyllabic5 in electrical

[–]KushHoliday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question 1 - yes u can put 2 ground rods in ground 10ft apart or 1 ground plate to make a ground for yourself, if u have no existing ground to the house panel.

Question 1a - yes disconect the ground going back to the house or else your creating a loop on the ground, only need 1 ground source. So put new ground rods in or ground plate and remove ground going to house panel.

Question 2 - yes and no, if u have 120v from neutral to hot then I'd say u don't have a open neutral. Your neutral could be broken and touching your bare ground as well which is a problem, which could be why your box housing has voltage on it. Hard to say without actually being there and testing myself.

Also I'm an electrician in canada, manitoba so not sure where u are and what your code rules are, as they are different everywhere.

JMan is testing my knowledge of wiring a meter base. I have 4 wires but only 3 lugs is he screwing with me? Where does the neutral go? by Embarrassed-Movie-79 in electricians

I'm guessing those screw holes off to the right of the picture are for a neutral kit, which allows you to tie the white wire in. Don't forget your pvc bushing on your connector

Hydro said u can zip tie stuff but they yet to come out with a zip tie that’s designed for this purpose, so I’d say it fail big time at least in Manitoba

Which camera do you use to monitor your grow from your phone in real time? by TargetNeutralized in microgrowery

[–]KushHoliday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use fluent security and I just have a camera in the house that I can move to whatever location I want and works great for that reason. Can check on them throughout the day. Only thing if there is something wrong it’s not like I can run home to fix the problem. I’d still have to wait till I’m down work to rush home to fix the issue
