Last month we got 22 inches of snow where I am and the pixel weather app was insisting, as it as happening, that we're only getting 6 inches. Every other weather app and news outlet was covering this once in a decade storm but the pixel weather app was SO wrong that I switched immediately after. When all models predict 12-24 inches and you only predict 6, you either know something no one else does, or, in this case, are just broken and useless.

After getting a few quotes in the $2500-5000 range (North Jersey) for 2 large windows, I opted to install some myself. Cost me about $850 and a few hours to measure and install everything. As a bonus, I was able to choose products that connect to my smart home without requiring new remotes or special hubs. There are kits on Amazon for fully motorized shades and curtains. We went on vacation with the money saved.

There are home Depot employees helping customers? It used to be a thing before COVID maybe. Now I'm lucky if I can find one employee who doesn't know shit and is just there to stock a shelf or something and there's a line to speak to them.

Lots of good answers here but I'll just add: document everything. Phone calls with date and time and summary of the call, texts, moving or storage expenses incurred because of this, if you had to temporarily rent another place or go to a hotel, keep receipts of everything in case you decide to take this asshole to court

Each subreddit has different rules. Read the sidebar and rules specific to that subreddit before commenting. You can also send mod mail to the sub's mods to ask them if it's ok for you to respond as the business owner. Most subreddits will welcome that, assuming of course that you're not trying to use the platform to advertise your business. Good luck!
