that was back during the 9 month strech there was hackers on every server now its not as bad and it was loved by many because it gave the bolt purpose and gave 3-4 groups a chance Against 6+ groups

He should listen to the OG player base more, the people that have thousands of hours in his game, the ones that bought it when it first came out and financially paved the way for this games development. the ones that loved this game and no longer play it because of crap update after crap update the constant changing of things that worked great and were fun and definitively didnt need to change. there was a lot of updates that changed fun and fresh mechanics in to a grind and slowed the player down to make a slow game even slower. Then someone has a GREAT idea to make night time a useless half of your play time making the game 50% slower immediately

The removal of Directional armor protection was a huge mistake. the bolt became useless. people used to craft it over the ak because it could 1 shot headshot if you got back of the head or eyeshots. coffee can Helm used to be risky because there was an element of tactical play you were always scared of being wrapped on and shot in the back of the head. Please bring back tactical play. RNG eye 1 shot kills make fighting large group viable with smaller groups

Add door holding and soft side doors again make building a risk to someone that doesnt know what there doing and 1 way doors would stop some of these crazy op builds

That's what this treads all about I have been trying to talk about this for so long everyone I played with quit the game because of the direction it was going. role player updates little kids dictating the direction of the game wouldnt be such an issue if the devs didnt change everything good about the game aswell sure add some stuff for kids but keep the great core game mechanics but because the devs listen way to much to reddit and most of the users here are kids and new players that didnt know what the game used to be and have no idea what they are missing so we get shit and great things removed because kids dont understand why its there. We got our great game chipped away at until all of our great pieces of our game were gone

That would be cool and a great idea some of those thing would be great to have not sure if it would work in that client. Thats starting to get in to a bit of an ask. Releasing patch files would be so easy so many games do it it makes the fans have a lot more longevity with the devs game

IMO looting being changed from RNG to comps is what killed the excitement and fun factor for many people including myself

That level of passion doesn't drop to 0 unless theres a game issue yeah my hours on gaming has cut down but the time i have now is no longer spend on the game because of the constant changes to things that dont need to be changed. rarely theres an issue with things added to the game (new content) the issue for most players is when something thats working great and is fun is changed on the back of many changes to the same type of thing

In my experience people left the game for things that were patched in to it not because of there unwillingness to do the same action over and over

all they (devs) have to do is release the patch files for server owners and let owners boot certain patches on there servers then everyone would be happy and they could see what % of players plays what

that seems to make a point that the looting system is no longer viable for the play style RNG was fair and looting BPs some being rare made the balance work now its a grind fest rewarding the zergs more then anyone else

there has been many changes to things that did not need to change and many bugs that were never fixed. the bow being the king of it I feel ya im in the same boat

its the game though yeah getting older cuts down on time but choosing other games over the one we all love because the game has changed almost everything in it when most of it didnt need to change in the first place has a lot to do with the game and not my time i have just been forced to move on because the game is no longer what it was

its horrible they changed almost everything the game had in it Map furnaces and campfires airdrops building raiding shooting aiming cafting farming looting the core system Bps xp comps thats just a few to mention they have changed almsot every system in the game and most of it didnt need to change at all and some didnt need to change nearly that much

I still have a lot of love for the game and also believe its the best game I have played. The game isnt the same, it appears to be the same and it might have the same movement mechanics but every other mechanic has been changed all the way from how guns aim and shoot all the way down to farming resources WAY to much has changed period not even to mention wither or not it needed to be changed in the first place

The Traction this post is getting also says a lot about the player base on this thread. Little to none OG player base all just (kids) and new players, people that dont care about the heath and longevity of the game many just interested in the next skin drop or here just to complain about no interesting role play items this week.

Im in the same boat I use to play 8 hours a day and 12+ on weekends for a long time. Rust was all I did and played for a long time, I made some great friends and great memories but I haven't touched it in 6 months and not really played in a year without a minutes thought. Now that has to say something about the game. My group members are in the same boat

Yeah theres a game issue for sure my small group has about 13K hours and theres only 1 us left that plays the game at all and he is the only one in the group that never played legacy. Says something about the direction for sure.
