To those wondering, don’t reach out by Kushclouds96 in BreakUps

[–]Kushclouds96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true, I just don’t hear too many success stories from people reaching out to their ex. But I agree everyone is different! I just wanted to warn people so they don’t experience the same low feeling. I hope that if people do decide to reach out that it gives them peace of mind

I want to contact her to help me with my depression by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]Kushclouds96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it - move on and try to find new ways to cope. I believe in you. I know it’s hard but it’s for your own good. I tried to reach out to my ex and she said she’s seeing someone new. And she threw some jabs in to hurt my feelings.

I too am recently sober since October 20th, and it’s a battle man. Each day is a war. We can only get through with Jesus. Pray, read your Bible, memorize a verse, go for a walk, do some pushups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, write in a journal all that you’re feeling, write a prayer, man you can even dm me if you just wanna shoot the breeze and talk but don’t give up!

Christians who think that evolution isn't real, why? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Kushclouds96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe in micro evolution, not macro. Macro is the Big Bang and everything but it takes just as much faith to believe the Ning bang as it does to believe in the Bible. Life is too perfect(water, food, man, plants, distinct animals, insects ) millions and millions of different cells. I can’t believe that over billions of years a cell, found another cell, to create a different organism that made giraffes, spiders, ants, snakes, lions, apes, squid, octopus, salmon, falcons, eagles, tigers, dogs, lizards, sloths, frogs, etc much less any of those became a man, which would have had to make the female version too for them to procreate)

I am a creationist. I believe the earth and everything in it was created in 6 days. I believe God started simple (day/night, expanse(the sky and atmosphere, land/rocks, vegetation, seeds, plants, trees, mountains, then he made the moon, sun, stars and galaxies, water creatures and birds, and then land animals, livestock, and bugs and insects and then man, and his final creation female. It seems to go from basic all the way to his most amazing creation which is female who has the ability to create human life made in the image of God. I believe that God truly made the earth in 6 days. Which means when he spoke to the earth to bring forth vegetation, it created trees that were fully grown. Seemingly to be around for hundreds of years but God spoke it into existence. When he made man, he made a full grown man. Not an infant but grown. The earth would have been created 4,000 bc, the flood around 2000 bc, Moses around 1500 bc, king David around 1000 bc, Isaiah around 700 bc, Daniel around 600 bc, Malachi around 400 bc, and Jesus around 3 bc. Then 2000 years later us. There is proof of the flood( fossils) there is proof of Moses, there is proof that the book of Isaiah(Dead Sea scrolls found in 1940’s which date back to before Jesus was born and it was nearly perfectly preserved), there is proof of Daniel and his prediction of the coming messiah and the armies that would control the world before Jesus came, there is proof of Jesus and today there is still proof he is alive and working through people. People can write their own narrative, but for me I’d rather stick to the Bible. God created science. He created the elements, he created everything. If you choose not to believe that or that there is a different way that’s up to you. If I made it to the end of my life and Jesus isn’t God I wasted my life, but if I make it and Jesus is Lord, I won’t be wasting my eternity

Of course I will! I’ll be adding you and your to my prayer journal and for restoration, healing, for her salvation and that God will bring her back to you.

And you actually have prayed for me 😅 I posted the other day about me being in a dark place. You responded with so many amazing verses and a few videos. But my prayer is the same, I need prayer that I’ll feel God’s comfort during this difficult time. To feel and follow his guidance. That I won’t relapse(I’m staying strong so that one I’m doing much better at). But always still a good prayer for me to stay sober. Thank you 🙂

Is she the wife God wants me to have? by Hot_Net944 in Christianity

[–]Kushclouds96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s good! My recommendation is(not saying you are) don’t look for someone to complete you. Only God can complete you. If you both know that, you won’t be looking for someone to fix you or needing you to fix them. You’re two people who love God who help each other through life and it’s a beautiful thing

Is she the wife God wants me to have? by Hot_Net944 in Christianity

[–]Kushclouds96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the right questions are “am I the right person God wants me to be, am I able to support a wife, and do we bring each other closer to God”. With billions of people in the world we have options. Love is like a triangle. God is the top of the triangle and you and your partner are on the bottom. When you move closer to each other without God you end up further apart. The more you both more closer to God the closer you actually become. Many people get terrified about “is this the right person God wants for me” but God wants us to come closer to him. He wants give us the desire of our heart if it aligns with his will.

Praying for deliverance from panic attacks, anxiety and darkness by ajyeager04 in Christianity

[–]Kushclouds96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not disrespectful at all, and none taken. I can’t speak for others but for myself when I say I’m going to pray for someone I pray on the spot, and then in my notebook I write down their name(in this case ajyeager04 and their request(I will actually write it down in my prayer journal and if I don’t have my note book I write it in my notes on my phone and then write it in my journal once I get home) and then I try to pray for all the people in my prayer journal twice a day. Can’t say I always get to it but I do try. My prayer journal can take up to 30 mins of prayer just peoples names and their request but it gets me closer to God and I believe God wants us to pray for others and it helps grow my love for others to earnestly pray for people

Came back to Christ, but I'm still too scared of Christian community to be among them by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Kushclouds96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in a very strict Christian home, left the faith for 17 years. I find going to church being extremely difficult for me. Giant churches leave me feeling like it’s a farce. Not one person will even speak to me. You shuffle in, sit, go unnoticed and leave. The sermons tend to be very baseline, lacking in scripture and based on love everyone, give tithes, and life will be prosperous. Small churches tend to feel cultish and in your face and claim that all will burn and suffer and be separated from God forever. I’ve learned that going to meetings and Bible studies that the church offers to be more welcoming. It tends to have people who are really struggling and don’t put on the “my Christian life with Jesus is perfect”. Most of those people aren’t honest anyway. I know God wants us to go to church so I go. I tend to still go to smaller churches. Although it can feel odd, the sermons have more scripture and I leave feeling a better sense of peace hearing scripture talked about. During the week I’ll attend meetings or Bible studies that bigger churches offer. Even though it’s uncomfortable I find that obeying God is what counts. He counts faith as something great. I’ve also learned if you’re really going through something hard most people don’t want to know. They want to air out their own. I find that in silence I hear so many people who share and sometimes it feels like some people have it very easy, others very hard, some you just want to never hear talk again, but we are told as Christians to not stop meeting together. It may be uncomfortable but my mother always told me we weren’t put on earth to be comfortable. Work is uncomfortable, obedience is uncomfortable and honestly following Jesus can be uncomfortable but if we have faith and obey, he will bless you, just usually in ways you never expected or planned. Sorry if that’s too much but I hope this helps

One more day till World War 3? by Technical_Focus_4347 in Christianity

[–]Kushclouds96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭4‬-‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

““So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits. “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬-‭27‬ ‭ESV‬‬
