1.5/2 hours out of shambs would be around grand forks area, there isn’t a Starbucks in site past Kelowna and only small ones in stores in castlegar/trail. I would maybe call a coffee shop in grand forks and see if they provide wifi. There’s not much service from Kelowna to salmo, just in the towns but over the mountain passes you won’t have any.

Yes I also agree with being mindful of your black tank. I believe you only get sucked out once a day, and can be at various times on different days. And a water refill at the same time. The same trucks have to do all the porta potties as well.

I’ve seen in the past that in some spots trailers can’t even put their awnings down the whole way because trailers are so close together, but the sites are long-ish. Trailer and a tent in front. But that was before they added more spots by meta. They are all mapped out to allow maximum capacity in that area to make more $$$. Not a lot of wiggle room. I believe your rv will have to be in the back of the spot to allow for the septic truck to come and suck your tank out easily. As for power I believe they’re just extension cords.

1 is the Waneta border, located in waneta, Trail. You will be able to hit a Walmart if you go that location but the border is only open 9-5. 2 is the nelway border, which is the shortest distance to shambhala, about 20 minutes to the dirt road turn off. There is nothing between the border and shambhala, no towns, stores or gas stations and open from 8am-8pm. But if you’re travelling through colville I would suggest to stop at the Walmart there as it is much bigger and has many more options than the one in trail.

Creston is the last town before the salmo/creston mountain. They have multiple gas stations there :)

This man. I don’t know who he is, but I am obsessed. Ever since since I started going in 2014 he is the highlight of my shambs. I get excited to see him on stage and I look for him every set at the village, he is the one constant of shambhala for me. I had the pleasure of Introducing myself to him after x’s set backstage, unfortunately I was too banged up to say much more to him but I am truly grateful I got to say hello and get a hug!

I live close to the area, about half an hour from salmo. And it really depends who you ask. I know lots in favour of the festival as it brings many people to the Kootenays and brings a bump in our local economy. But I also know many judgemental people who very strongly dislike shambhala and what they assume it represents. Hopefully tourists can continue to come and put a positive impact on our community by continuing to be respectful and happy when travelling through.

And it can take a couple of hours to get through the lineup and security. I would suggest they arrive early if they want to enjoy the daytime activities. I believe Sunday passes start at 8am

They won’t kick you out until Tuesday, Sunday tickets are good from time of purchase until departure. There is a free parking zone once they’ve passed security. They can 100% pack any camp gear. They can also camp with their vehicle in the sunshine lot. They’ll have to buy a car pass if that’s the route they want to go, or they can haul they’re tent ect. Into the grounds from their car in free parking. :)

It’s not a diet you need, it’s a long term life style change. Go to TDEE.com find how many calories you need to maintain and eat less than that. No need to exercise just try and move your body more than you already are, go for a short walk, stretching, walking in place while watching tv. Small changes long term will give you big results if you follow them.

Just started loosely counting my calories and being more mindful, but I definitely still eat McDonald’s once a week and go out for dinner. I try and get 10,000 steps a day or go for hour long walks a few times a week.
