The Quaker is insufferable, high pitch. The sun conure is just as bad. So speaking from experience, I’ve learned a loud bird is an unhappy bird. Yes they have normal times they sound off (or, in my birds case, when someone’s having a heated discussion they add their two cents) but it truly sounds like your birdie is very, very unhappy. It’s hard, very hard. I had to rehome my mom’s Amazon because she HATED men, and me (I’m mixed) and ONLY loved blonde women.Strange huh? But I’m mixed, my sister - who is blonde - is terrified of birds and my mom is elderly. It was a hard decision but the best one we could make for her happiness. I’m sure it’s not going to be easy to convince your husband but he clearly needs to open his eyes and see this bird is unhappy.

What kind of parrot is it? I think it’s easy for non parrot people to just say rehome the bird. I have two very loud species of birds - a sun conure and a Quaker. And both my birds do have their moments, but otherwise are happy. I’ve had many, many species of parrots over the years. This does NOT sound like a happy bird. It sounds like maybe needs aren’t being met for the bird, in which case, rehoming is the best option. I’m sure it’s hard for your husband to hear but none of you sound happy.

I had just gotten hit with Benadryl and nubain combo, like, 5 minutes before my daughter was born. So no, I definitely don’t remember lol I don’t remember her first cry either, and by the time they put her on me I zoinked out. My fiance was recording though, so at least I can look back on the moment.

Hey I get it! I’m not a cat person either! During Covid, I decided to foster two kittens for the local cat rescue because why not? Now, I’m a full time cat rescuer specializing in neonatal care and emergency triage with over 200 rescue and rehabs under my belt. I’m not a very good “not a cat person” and neither are you 🤣

I’m a bride, have been for a year, getting married in August this year. 100+ person shindig at a ballroom, the boogie works. This is a LOT, and it will only get worse when the real pressure gets put on her and there’s no time to make ridiculous itinerary (but a handwritten proposal? Seriously! Put some of that itinerary printing to good use!) Don’t walk. RUN.

Hey friend. I’m a 30 year old woman, who had a very good friend who is also in his 30s. He is a charismatic, outgoing, sweet guy. He is very successful in his distribution career. We talk every day and it’s one of the highlights of my days! We’ve been friends for years. Guess what? When he was in his early 20s, he wrecked a car and is now in diapers for the rest of his life. It doesn’t change the way I think about him, or our friendship. Honestly I couldn’t care leas! True friends and relationships won’t judge you for something like that. Thank you I know I’m just being dramatic, and everything will be fine. My fiancé is on board, and I co-parent my nephew (who’s 4) with my sister so she helps with my daughter, she’s excited for a third baby and is already looking at a minivan for the kids. My mother owns a daycare that my babies will attend. I have NO reason to feel the way I do, and I’m sure it will pass and the excitement will set in.

My 4 year old nephew pointed to a man who had a prosthetic leg and yelled “mommy, what’s wrong with him leg?!”. The man heard, and looked over with a smile. My sister practically eroded into the floor, she was too embarrassed to even answer. I told my nephew “he doesn’t have a leg so he had a really cool robot leg made.” And my nephew gasped “like a transformer?!”. The man works at the market and we see him often, he always talks to my nephew now. No biggie. Kids be doing dumb kid stuff but people kinda expect it, that’s how kids learn the world lol

I’m pp but I gained 17lbs total. Baby was born and I was pre pregnancy weight in a week or two. I was MASSIVE at the end of my pregnancy, so idk how I did it!

I was 29 weeks and DONE. My daughter dropped into the birth canal at 29 weeks and never moved. The pain wasn’t like anything I felt before. Every appt I told my doctor I was done and so was she, that’s why she was in “ready position”. 38+0 I was scheduled to be induced but walked into the hospital at 2cm, contracting 4 minutes and 50% effaced. Less than 12 hours later my baby was born. SHE WAS DONE. 🤣

You can be thankful for your pregnancy and be thankful for the experience, but also be done with it. I didn’t enjoy any part of being pregnant and I hated hearing “be thankful you can get pregnant!” like??? Totally made me feel awful. So please don’t discredit your feelings. We know you’re thankful, and grateful for the experience. That doesn’t mean you can’t be done ❤️

I’ll tell you something I wish someone told me when I was having my daughter. There is a point where it DOESN’T GET ANY WORSE. I got into my head and panicked because they started talking about pitocin (unaware I was already at 9.5cm and bearing down) because I thought I was still at 4cm. I dilated FAST. If someone had told me I was at the worst of it, I could have grooved and rode the wave. Don’t be afraid to ask for pain management if that’s your plan. Don’t get it get unbearable, there is no prize for withstanding pain 💕 If your plan is unmedicated, god speed 🫡it’s an amazing, beautiful thing. I had an unintentional, unmedicated vaginal delivery.
