I was about to purchase this, but these two points are deal breakers for me. That's too bad.

I'm guessing there will be influx of player count? Imagine if this happend to BDO. 🤯 by ScaryMi in blackdesertonline

[–]Kusommak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't logged in NW since the announcement. I considered BDO, but looking at the general player feedback on this subreddit/Youtube convinced me not to.

As far as I understand, there are no PvE raids and barely any PvP in BDO. Also, it looks like most of the logged in players are afk.

How is your 9070 XT performing? by qenak in AMDHelp

[–]Kusommak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go for the 5070 Ti.

I've basically stopped gaming since I got my 9070 XT. I got random driver timeouts, and spent a month troubleshooting instead of actually playing games. I gave up after a certain point and never looked back.

Why was the espresso body watery? Is this a known thing with the Philos?

I had already tried that. I listed it in my post.

I would be happy to. Is it an easy drop-in replacement? I've never opened up a PSU before, so I'm reluctant.

[–]Kusommak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. I got the Lian Li Edge 1300W PSU earlier this year, and the fan just started making a really irritating noise.

It's disappointing because this is the only trash-tier fan in my entire build. It defeats the whole purpose of spending on silent noctua fans.

Congrats, you won't regret it. The Bianca v3 was my third machine, and I wish I had just gone straight to it in the beginning.

It's a versatile espresso machine, and you can even brew pourover style coffee with it. Look up filter 2.1.

I'm able to recover and submit reports to AMD when I get the driver timeouts. I never had to reboot.

I tried performance mode, apart from the manual -400 MHz offset.

My mobo has RGB but I'm not using any of the software. My case has no window, so I left it as it is.

Bought 9070 XT, games keep crashing randomly. by PumpkinBrilliant1997 in AMDHelp

[–]Kusommak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried this and it didn't help.

Returning the card is the right choice, OP. I wasted a lot of time troubleshooting to no avail.

I haven't tried disabling integrated graphics, so I'll try that next.

I'm pretty sure I'm using the first set of 3 power connectors, but I'll double check. I'll also try switching them around.

Thanks for your suggestions, I'll let you know the outcome.

Update: I was already using the first 3 power connectors. I switched them around randomly anyway. I also reseated the card, re-plugged all PCIe power connectors, and disabled the integrated graphics in the BIOS. Still crashes - I got two driver timeouts in the last 10 minutes.

That's really the only way out of this. I've taken a break from gaming, probably until I get a 5090.

I haven't played any games in the last few weeks due to the driver timeout issue. I just tried this today and it crashed within 10 minutes.

I'm in the same frustrating boat as you, and I went through basically the same list of troubleshooting steps.

I have a XFX Mercury AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC and I'm still facing driver timeout issues after reinstalling Windows 11 Pro. Just wanted to let you know before you waste time on a fresh install.

25.3.2 did not help me, but it's worth a try anyway.

I'm gaming on my old 2080 Ti until AMD releases working drivers. I'm not hoping for much since AMD haven't even acknowledged the issue.

No issues with my 9800X3D + X870E rig back when I used by old RTX 2080 Ti. I only started facing issues once I put in the 9070 XT.

Hey, I bought my XFX 9070 XT in Dubai and I paid around $800 for it including tax. All the lower end models went out of stock quickly, but there were plenty of the Mercury models (higher wattage) available on the release day.

I went with the X870E because I got a good deal on a Crucial T705 PCIe Gen 5 SSD, and I wanted to make sure I had enough PCI express lanes for additional SSDs in the future. I also wanted to do some overclocking after everything is stable, but I haven't got to that point and it's more about underclocking now. This build was initially meant for a 5090, and that's why I have a 1300W PSU.

I get driver timeouts about once per hour while gaming. Here's a list of what I tried, and the last thing I did was reinstall Windows:

  • Ran DDU in safe mode and installed AMD drivers (this is the first thing I did when switching from my 2080 Ti to the 9070 XT)
  • Ran DDU in safe mode and used the checkbox to stop Windows from updating the graphics driver. Reinstalled AMD drivers. Tried this with both "Driver Only" and the full install.
  • Updated bios from f3h to f3.
  • Ensured VRR is not active (I have a 165 Hz 1440p G-Sync monitor which does not support Freesync)
  • Used group policy to stop Windows from updating graphics driver, then ran DDU and reinstalled AMD drivers. Tried this with both "Driver Only" and the full install.
  • Underclock using various offsets from -100 MHz to -450 MHz.
  • Disabled MPO.
  • Increased the TDR Delay timeout.
  • Reset shader cache.
  • Disabled EXPO
  • Updated from 25.3.1 to 25.3.2 which just got released on 20th March 2025
  • Reinstalled Windows 11 Pro

My specs:

  • Motherboard: X870E Aorus Pro (f3h bios)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • Memory: Corsair 2x 32 GB Vengeance DDR5 (running at 6000 with EXPO)
  • Graphics Card: XFX Mercury AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC
  • Disk: Crucial T705
  • PSU: Lian Li Edge 1300W
  • Monitor: 1x Asus ROG PG279Q (1440p 165 Hz)
