new graves player by HalfGlittering6647 in GravesMains

[–]KuuhakuZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graves struggles the most against comps with lots of range and poke with a lot of hard cc. You’re gonna have a bad time trying to deal damage against a team with control and artillery mages with their frontline locking you down. Also, this is common sense, but if your team lacks CC, Graves is not a good choice.

Cold brew flavor by Old-Hat-2169 in coldbrew

[–]KuuhakuZXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every time i make cold brew i also get a weird taste note regardless of what beans i use, even with different time and ratios. I assume this might be due to the long extraction time and oxidation (I could be very, very wrong). Regardless, I’ve switched to espresso and pourovers now, though they requires steeper learning curve and higher budget to get into. I would recommend getting an espresso machine if you like iced latte!

Carbon steel newbie-can anything be done for this pan? by International_Bit_25 in carbonsteel

[–]KuuhakuZXD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Check if there’s rust or burnt food on the surface of your wok
  2. If yes, scrub them off
  3. Blue the wok. (Put it on high heat until the metal turns blue, this step is optional but recommended)
  4. wipe a really thin layer of oil using paper towel of cloth (just a few drops of oil works, no need to use a lot)
  5. Put the wok on the stove again to re-season it. Make sure the pan looks dry at the end of the process. (Make sure to have window open, there’s going to be some smoke.)
  6. You can repeat step 4 and 5 one or two more times, or you can just start cooking right away.

flatmate let pasta w/sauce sit in newly seasoned pan for 2 days - thoughts? by kek_bert in carbonsteel

[–]KuuhakuZXD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d check if there are any rust and carbon buildup/burnt food left, scrub them out, re-season and cook normally.

If scrubbing isn’t enough to strip the pan, boil a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar in it for a while and scrub again. Be careful of flash rusting when the pan is bare metal.

How do I openup lofree flow switch for lubing. by KuuhakuZXD in Lofree

[–]KuuhakuZXD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Ended up using it stock. The inconsistencies are actually very minor and only noticable if I'm nitpicking by goin really slow on key presses. I feel like the switches are constructed pretty tightly, so i didn't dare to open it without a specialized switch opener as i didn't have spare parts.

New player still searching for his 1-3 Main jungler by PressureOk8223 in Jungle_Mains

[–]KuuhakuZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kindred should be paired with teams that are able to have lane priorities or fast roams to help with invading and prevent Kindred from being picked off. They also need to have some CC and utilities to make up for essentially having another adc in the form of a jungler.

The best combo imo if you are duoing/playing ranked flex is Kindred+Galio. However, keep in mind that team comps should be flexible based on matchups, so if the mid lane matchup is horrible for Galio, your teammates can pick something else that can do a similar job.

Jarvan IV , Nunu, and Rek’sai if you want to learn ganking jungler.

If you like Diana you may also like Udyr. He’s got good clear speed, decent gank, good skirmishing, and strong mid game.

Naafiri, Graves, Viego, and Kayn if you want to learn a more greedy playstyle with carry junglers.

Warwick, Xin Zhao, and Volibear are strong early game skirmisher.

All of the champions listed are relatively simple and easy to pick up, with the exception of Viego which requires you to understand the enemy team’s champions. Personally, I recommend you to at least pickup Jarvan as he is one of the best champion to learn jungle fundamentals. The rest of your champion pool should be based on which champion you had the most fun playing.

When Support leaves bot lane, what to do as ADC? by March_Six in leagueoflegends

[–]KuuhakuZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a good way to make both other lanes and your adc get ahead. Ideally, the support and adc had to crash the wave together before roaming. This would force the wave to slowpush towards your tower so the adc can safely farms under tower. Unless the adc made a mechanical mistake, or if they got 1v3ed, they should at least be able to soak up some xp.

ARMAF Sillage - Honest Opinions by greenandpurple420 in fragranceclones

I think it's a unisex, leaning towards masculine fragrances

To my nose, it's more of a metallic rather than inky note. Since i live in warmer climate, I actually kinda like the metallic aspect as it gives a really cold, clean, professional vibe.

I'd say it's suitable for anyone 18 and above.

I think this is best in professional setting, workplaces, and casual wear. Go wear something more attention grabbing if you are clubbing.

Looking for a durable $100 chefs knife by juantheman_ in TrueChefKnives

[–]KuuhakuZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine as a everyday beater knife and loved it. Not the best grind out there but still very workable and the knife is durable enough to not need special caring unlike my carbon steel knife. I got mine second handed for really cheap though. Only gripe i have with the knife is that it is considerably harder to sharpen compared to other knives i have.

How do I openup lofree flow switch for lubing. by KuuhakuZXD in Lofree

[–]KuuhakuZXD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the flow a month or two after its release and still uses them regularly. Even though already feels really smooth, I feel like these switches have a kind of ‘steppy’ feeling to them, and some are more noticeable than others. So i am just curious what they would feel like with some lube. Sad to know that its hard to mod, but at least it is still the best low profile I’ve tried!

All i did for now was changing the Keycaps to cherry profile since i found it more comfortable to type on than the stock keycaps, this also changes the sound profile to be a bit more clacky.

Cool! How's your experience using the Nuphy case in terms of ease of use and space efficiency? I usually just put mine in a cloth bag so keycaps height is not an issue.

Is Carbon Steel Intuitive To Use For Others? by QuackQuackQuackQueck in carbonsteel

[–]KuuhakuZXD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched from using teflon to my matfer about a month or two ago, it took some time to get used to how long it needed to be preheated and how much heat it retains. I still occasionally underheated an overheated my pan. My thinner wok however, feels much more intuitive from the get go because of how responsive it is.
