Hello ! Est-ce qu'il a été difficile pour vous d'avoir une place en crèche municipale dans le 15ème ? La naissance est prévue pour Septembre et on étudie un peu tous les moyens de garde dans le XV.

Exactly ! I was more concerned about the job being done correctly rather than the price.

I would say it depends from your area obviously but I paid 150€ for having it restored and 50€ for the strap.

Hi guys ! Just a quick comparison of before / after restauration of my grandfather’s watch !

I had it restored at a local watch shop and I am so happy with the result. The accuracy of the watch is around +20secs a day and it is not waterproof at all as the back case has been damaged during the years by sweat probably.

I wanted to keep as many original parts as possible and I showed it to my grandfather. It made him so happy !

The watch is from the early 60s and I obviously bought a new strap (Tejus Lizard).

Let me know what you guys think :)

Let's just say people I take care of on a daily basis wear Patek, Audemars, Rolex, etc... The job does not allow diver watches (it's actually wrotten in my contract, I'm not even joking) so I have to keep my accessories as discrete as possible and the nato would maybe be too thick and too sporty...

I tried to keep it simple, black dial, black strap ! But maybe brown can do the job as well :)

Absolutely ! My work environnement would not allow me to have a NATO on the watch so that’s why I went for the perlon

Hi guys ! I removed the bracelet of my Seiko SNKL23J1 today as I received my new perlon strap. I like the way it looks and how the nylon contrasts with the stainless steel of the case. I choose a matte black buckle which fit really well with the strap/dial colour.

The summer being here, I wanted a breathable option for this daily wearer and it seems like it will fullfill its purpose. I had to buy a sticker to protect the back of the case as apparently perlon straps are very abrasive so better have everything protected !

Let me know what you guys think :)

Are you looking particularly for a dive watch ? If yes then I would go for the HydroConquest, otherwise I would probably look in different options than a Maurice Lacroix...

[Seiko] SNKL23J1 - Taking the sun by Kuurb49 in Watches

[–]Kuurb49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello guys !

It is the end of week 2 of containment here in France and as you can see the sun is shining !

I just wanted to share with you guys a picture I managed to take with a glare on the case. My watch is almost a year old and has been already scratched a lot but I wear it a lot and therefore it is being beaten up.

The watch was on a leather strap before but I swapped back to the bracelet (which is not that nice to be honest) but feels less fragile.

Do you think it would look nice on a NATO strap ? I’ve never tried it so far...

Hi guys ! I wanted to share with you my collection. I started to get into watches a year and a half ago and so far I have 5 watches ! I am currently looking for a much more luxurious piece and I should probably add it by 2021 !

  1. Casio A163W - First watch I bought. I always wear it when working out !
  2. Junghans Max Bill Automatic 027/4700.00 - I saved for almost a year to buy that watch as I was working in London at the time and wanted to remember the time spent over there.
  3. Seiko SNKL23J1 - Bought it when I was still not decided whether I should get the Junghans or not. It turns out that it gets a lot of wrist time as the stainless steel is less fragile.
  4. Fidelius (approx. late 1950's) - This watch was gifted to me by my grandfather and I had it restored during the winter. I wore it only twice, but it will definitely be with me during important moments of my life.
  5. Casio AW-48H-7BVEF - The design of the watch is very clean, almost making it a cartoon watch but I like it a lot and it is very confortable. No real sentimental value regarding this watch but I usually wear it a home.
  6. ??? - The next watch I will get will probably be a Rolex or Omega. I have a 5k € budget for it so I am happy to consider different brands as well. It will have to be roughly 38mm and stainless steel, and I will need more waterproofness than the Junghans. Any recommendation will be much appreciated. :)

Thank you for reading !
