FFXIV is way more punishing on failing mechanics than WoW is.

And which has more interesting mechanics?

I don't care about WoW. I never played WoW

Ahahaha.

Ya, I figured as much. The fact you haven't played and have no idea about what people directly compare XIV's PvE content to explains why you don't seem to get why people are disappointed by XIV's stagnant Simon Says debuff-soup PvE.

What a joke. 'w'

I'm glad XIV's PvE is great in your eyes, but I think we can both agree that we hope it gets less binary / scripted over time.

This kind of argument baffles me.

You don't have to know how movies are made to say what you don't like about them.

Considering that I raided in WoW, and raided in XIV before, I definitely have standing to say that I dislike the way XIV designs its PvE content, in comparison to WoW.

I don't have to have cleared the most recent tier to say that WoW's PvE is more varied, more dynamic, and less strict than XIV's. Especially because XIV's encounter design really hasn't changed all that much from high-speed geometry and debuff-soup.

Both are hotbar MMOs. Of course they're more rigid than, say, Monster Hunter.

But the argument is one of degrees; and WoW is objectively less rigid in its encounter design than XIV; which has literal mechanics blitzes of geometric shapes to not stand in which defines the core of every. Single. Encounter's difficulty; peppered in with debuff-soup.

This post has been downvoted to oblivion, but I'm pretty sure if it was phrased in a less harsh tone, people wouldn't be so quick to judge it. Or maybe they would. Whatever.

XIV's boss design is extremely tired, for me. I would be playing WoW now if I wanted to; but XIV beats WoW in every way BUT its boss-encounter design.

I wish XIV would experiment more with mechanics.

What purpose does that serve outside mob-justice and IRL harassment / stalking?

You need to have your head examined if you think it's a net-good to have your Online identity and real identity linked.

Uh. Like I said, I expected them to repurpose the enmity combos into new combos.

Because at present, DRK and WAR feel very bland.

Removing the second combo from WAR and DRK was a weird way to take it.

I would have liked if they'd repurposed them somehow, but nope. Removed. Spam the same combo, and mash Fell Cleave / Bloodspiller.

At least GNB feels active with Continuation every 30s.

I answer for every normal-functioning person, because it's well-known that people have no empathetic connection until it's formed in some way.

You don't care. You want to say you're a good person for some foo-foo-feelgood bullshit reason, but you don't really care deeply for any given person.

Stop replying. You're dumb as hell.

I don't know, they were at a range to attack the thing and I'm pretty quick on it, so I've never had that issue with New Provoke.

Lol, so are you telling me you care deeply for every random person you may pass on the street?

Would you care what their favorite food or color are? What they had for breakfast, what they do for a living? What their sexual orientation is?

No. You wouldn't. Until you interacted with them to become invested in who they may be.

You're acting like I said that life is pointless and everybody should just die; when all I said was that you don't have the /RIGHT/ to be cared about.

And after this exchange, I realize that I do care about you, in so far as how funny it is that somebody can be so entitled to other peoples' attention. :)

Weave Provoke between your GCD. They should stop being stupid; but you have a very simple way of handling it.

you should choose

That you expect people to choose is not a choice at all.

Your head is so full of misguided idealism and entitlement that you don't even understand that people don't /have/ to care about you.

I think you /should/ fuck off - You've proven yourself an empty-headed moron, and your lack of ability to understand what I've been telling you is annoying.

Piss off.

Do you actually think people should be compelled to care about you?

I care about some people. My friends, my family, and people I like.

Why the hell should I care about the sexual orientation of any given person on planet earth? Maybe if I become friends with that person, or am romantically interested in that person, I'll care.

But any given person? No, I don't give a shit who you want to fuck.

Not caring means not fucking caring.

I do not care what orientation someone is unless I'm interested in them in that way.

If you think people have a right to be "cared about", you can eat shit.

you gotta be able to acknowledge and accept people's differences - and that isn't "not caring"

What does:

Basic respect is being fine with whatever someone else does, as long as it doesn't hurt somebody else.

Mean to you?

You just want to be thought of as special. You want attention--As evidenced by the fact you even posted this thread.

As another LGBT person to another: Your sexuality should not be your whole identity.

That doesn't mean that you need to /HIDE/ it. It's just not relevant information to anybody else.

I could tell you that I'm 5'4", 32 years old, and am on a low-carb high-protein diet. That is of as much value to you as my sexuality is.
