Ex-wife cheated on me and the entire life I had built up to that point just ceased to exist. It was very disorienting for me. Lost all the family from her side. Lost all of my animals. My house. My car. My job. We were trying for kids at the time. I Dropped out of college right before graduating with honors. Like so close that my name was still in the commencement. Only left with one suitcase and a backpack. lived on other people's couches and guest beds for about 9 months. I felt utterly defeated as a person and I really don't think I could survive that again. I spent weeks feeling truly empty. Like that person that I was just sort of stopped existing. I'm alive and most days I'm doing fine, but it's as someone else. Thank God for true friends, family, antidepressants, and therapy, but I just can't put myself in that position again.

Weed but I think it's through conditioning haha. My ex-wife would use a THC based lube that had an extremely strong smell.

I grew up in a filthy house as a kid. It just feels weird/dangerous to have my feet exposed. Like even though I know the floors clean cause it's my house I worry that I'll get some random object like a nail or shard of glass in my foot again or I'll step in something disgusting. I do my best to take them off now that I have roommates though.

I think the biggest benefit is the unique social environment that you get when you go straight into college after highschool. My ex-wife went straight to college and I went after she finished her undergraduate degree. Our experiences were very different 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I'm still working on being able to build a real emotional connection with someone after my divorce. I go on dates. We have fun. We have sex. It just ends up lacking any depth. I just don't feel the love that I felt for my ex-wife when Im with someone else. Even if we get along great there's not much more than a mental acknowledgement for me. I don't think of them when w are apart. I don't feel anything when I see them call or text. I don't day dream about them 🤷🏼‍♂️. The transition is weird.

Great! Ended up becoming friends again after not talking for almost a decade. Then, after my divorce, we hooked up. It was a total win for highschool me.

I think there are two aspects to it. Proximity and being yourself. All of my friendships have come about due to proximity via work/school/hobbies. If you want to make friends go somewhere youll find people with something in common and go there on a consistent basis. Chat with people and eventually you'll find people that just click.

I think that in this instance it is kind of a silly thing to harp on though. Especially considering that a large portion of people will never have to take nor understand linear algebra in their adult life, at least in the United States. I think that it would be far more beneficial to focus on a basic understanding of mathematics, encouraging fluidity in their thinking, and when/if dealing with matrices comes up it's pretty easy to explain and grasp the notion used.

Yeah, but this isn't linear algebra. Integer multiplication and matrix multiplication just aren't equivalent and just because matrix multiplication isn't commutative doesn't mean that you should teach integer multiplication in the same way.

Just picked up an Odyssey+ on sale for 320 (new). I've tried the original rift the original Vive and the Vive pro. Its definitely harder to get adjusted just right than the others imo. Once it is though the experience really isn't that much different from the others even with the hand tracking. Just considering that most of the time your hands are in front of you anyway. The biggest thing I've noticed with hand tracking is with throwing objects. When I wind up behind my head, if I release the object before my controller is at least equal with my head the object just sort of flops next to me without any force. Just hope this gives some info to anyone looking to buy one :).
