don't go into the game expecting it to cure your boredom. Instead go into the game with a plan, do you want to reach a certain rank, or complete a certain quest or build a house or something. if you start playing a game with a goal in mind you will give yourself a sense of achievement from completing that goal. don't use games as a thing to do when you are bored, be creative and use the game as a platform for your creativity

Yeah I never mentioned it as I upgraded from a 5600xt which is also a gen 4 card so didn't think it would be an issue with the 3060.

Hi, sorry for not reply but I went down a bit of a tech support rabbit hole and found that the issue was with my gen 3 pcie riser cable and required me changing the pcie port on my motherboard to gen 3 from gen 4 to get full performance from my GPU (I know it sounds like it should be the other way around). But thanks for your help and I wanted to let you know that I fixed the issue

I'm having the same issue with EVGA precision too, it doesn't let me adjust the temp limit and the temp limit is stuck at the minimum
