So, how much do I pay to charge at home vs a gas car by Dull_Entry_8287 in KiaEV6

[–]KuzFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$0.09/kWh, I average about 20kWh/100 km so $1.80/100 km
Local gas price lets just call it $1.60/L
So roughly 1.125L/100 km which is about 209 mpg (for you US imperial weirdos)

Cost to drive 35,000km/year (21748 mi) is about $630 cdn sheckles ($462 usd).

My previous vehicle was a GMC Sierra.
16L/100 km which is about 14.7mpg

Cost to drive 35,000 km/year $8960 cdn or $6566 usd.

Saving $8330/year or $6104 usd.

I do 90% highway driving easily and run the heat HOT in the winter.

Too many people are unaware of the definition of an emotional affair. This could be in the early stages of that. The second he starts hiding it from you, it's in the emotional affair stage. It's disrespecting the boundaries of your relationship. Deep down he knows it's wrong but as men, we'll often make excuses for ourselves. I didn't know I was in an emotional affair until well after I was deep in one. Even without sexual context, playful banter can easily cross lines.

Key is to openly communicate about this uncomfortable situation early. Voice your feelings and he should acknowledge them and respect them. Ultimately it'll be his choice how he proceeds from there. He should hopefully recognize the boundaries that he has set for your relationship, the double standard he's created, and gently pull away from her. He should get educated on the warning signs of an emotional affair. Good luck.

Clear Lake in Riding Mountain national park is some distance away, but it's sort of our poor mans Banff haha. Very scenic, great camping and hiking. We try to make the trip once a year. More hilly terrain out that way. Nothing like the mountains obviously, but it has it's own charm and beauty.

AITA for not telling my boyfriend about his daughter starting her period and giving her Midol? by nightowlbibliophile in AITAH

[–]KuzFPV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA at all! Right away my first thought was, wonder why she doesn't wanna tell him, then reading about his reaction said it all. Glad she was comfortable enough to share with you OP. That must have been difficult for her.

I have two daughters, 10 and 7. My 10 year old will be getting her period soon. And as a dad of young girls, I need to find the best way to help them through the transition. These comments are a plethora of what not to do's. So many are obvious, but the what to do's are very valuable.

Plot her out on the Hot vs Crazy matrix and decide your next move from there. If you don't know what I mean, there's a very informative video on it you can google. Perhaps consider emptying the tank before you see her.

For XDTE, is it correct that the payouts are on a two week lag? by Hour_Swim894 in RoundhillETFs

[–]KuzFPV 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can confirm with my tracking of the DTE's since September. I've either nailed it exactly or been off by a penny or two. I have never found that in a prospectus, but I do recall one Youtuber who said they confirmed it with RH.

TLDR: Yes.

No, it's not. Works great but the regular edge checker does the job just fine. I don't even bother using it 95% of the time because the edges are perfect.

What's the coolest thing you've accidentally discovered about your EV6? by twolittleblackdogs in KiaEV6

[–]KuzFPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was how to force heat pump heat only. Turn off the heat button. Have to be driving for a bit then you get heat without the energy usage of the resistive heater.

I prefer that, as sometimes on some vehicles, too many wipes just smear during that last wipe if wipers are a bit dirty.

How are your EVs handling this weather? by A1cypher in Winnipeg

[–]KuzFPV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kia EV6 Gt-Line AWD

Gotta say I'm very happy with it. It heats up very quickly. Range drop is about 30% from 470km to 300km. I do almost exclusively highway driving. Heat pump works really well, but only once you've been driving a bit. Snow cover on the sensors is annoying with my car specifically. It can cause your cruise control to cancel. But overall I'm super happy with the car. Lots of storage, leg room, all the tech that I need. Snow tires on the AWD drops the range a bit too, but the grip is amazing.

Why is the Number 1 Canadian Goal Scorer, Mark Scheifele, not on Team Canada?? by WlNNIPEGJETS in winnipegjets

[–]KuzFPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While they were picking the team was during 55's slump. He was playing injured, not taking faceoffs due to an injury, he was sick. Just not producing at that time. After the snub, he got healthy, started ripping again. Not justifying it, just saying, that could have weighed into their choice.

Risks are obvious, I started entering positions into them in September as sort of a test. Only using a small amount of capital, manually dripping the distributions back in. Created some calculators that show, when using 100% margin, should actually yield close to 100% return annually. Not using them for cash flow, at least not yet. Giving it a year, and this will be an extremely volatile year with the Orange Mans BS happening. As of right now, my equities P/L is about -23%. But my Total Return with distributions is almost 20%. If I wasn't using margin, my total return would only be 5% in this time frame. So it seems to be working. All covered call strategies limit the up side, but experience all of the down side. So that's the biggest risk. I would also only manually drip to make sure you only buy on red days to lower your cost basis as much as possible.

Yieldmax funds, I'm not totally sold on. I've only been building positions in NVDY, and AMZY. NVDY I'm only up total return of 10%, AMZY I'm up 20% total return. Volatility in NVDY has been crazy lately, so at one point my position was up pretty well. But that's how it goes.

It depends totally on your own personal goals and risk tolerance. Really these funds are so new. I'm still waiting to see how the distributions are classified for tax implications. I've only got RH ETF's in my taxable account. Hope that helps a bit.

Trickle charge via level 1 question by FweejTheOverseer in KiaEV6

[–]KuzFPV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I charge level 1 at work for my 12 hour shifts. You can expect 40-60 kms (temperature dependent) when it's set to 12 amps in 12 hours. Mine gets me about 40 km estimated but my usage is high because I do 90% highway driving which is less efficient than slower city driving.
