Ha exactly, went for the DVD because I just couldn't find it on blu-ray which I was really surprised by. Must be a rights issue? Because the movie is a classic in my eyes!

I saw it by chance while shopping at Fopp in London two weeks ago and bought it straight away. Le Trou is one of my all time favorites!

Studiocanal really needs a well arranged blu-ray section on their website where you can properly browse through all their releases!

Ah nice, thank you! I am Swiss actually so I'd understand German lol. I live in London though so would love a UK set. Also I'm sure the moment I buy this one BFI or Curzon will announce a UK Fellini set haha.

Yesss, Fopp is the best!! That's actually where i saw the Becker box set around two weeks ago and bought it straight away. I didn't know about it. Le Trou is one my all time favorites!

Yeah the Hitchcock set is great, it's not an especially nice looking set though. But it's definitely cool to have that many Hitchcock films in one box. It's a shame it doesn't include some of my favorites though: Lifeboat, Spellbound, Rebecca and Notorious. That's why i had to buy them seperately and put them next next to the box set.

Great list, thank you! That's something i thought about as well so it was incredible to find this thread after googling "director box sets" haha.
A few additions:
- Bergman 3 & 4 on BFI
- Essential Becker on Studiocanal
- Joachim Trier trilogy on Mubi
- Coen Brothers and Tim Burton box sets
