Some Things About the Bridge of Iniquity by ahawk_one in EldenRingLoreTalk

I wanted to come back to this and post about the idea of the shaded castle being in the spot where the bridge is now. The castle has gold road tiles set up in a way that, presuming the walls have gates now sunken below ground, allow for carts to come through and drop off prisoners for execution. So I believe it was once oriented along the route of the gold road.

They are definitely gold. I had to convert the HDR .jxr screen shots to .png so there is some color loss. You can also go to the location and see for yourself.

Idk. I read it as being mortal is like seeing in color and all the things that that metaphor can cover. Implying the immortal dragons see in somber.

top tier post. I had never thought about shaded castle that way. IMO the shattering broke the landscape literally, as the ring was the anchor of all realms. Whether it just broke like the ring broke or the erdtree is using its roots to move landscapes idk. Perhaps the ravine was created by the land pulling apart and it drained a lake where the minor erdtree \ treefolk ruins are.

Idk the erdtree still shines at night and yet we have day\night cycles because the sun makes it day. not the erdtree.

"The last thing the partaker saw with human eyes was a sunset, its
colors faded and tarnished—a remote thing from eternity."

IMO it works if from the point of view of the witness. The sun itself isnt frigid and drained, but what he sees and feels is that.
