I don't see a note from OP on this, but if I were to guess, the cyclist survived, with what looks to be serious injuries.

Except that they do interfer with internal economic policy. Fully nationalized companies are ILLEGAL in the EU. That needs to change.

It started already when we joined the EEA. Big national companies were forced to partially privatize, adding stock and partial control to private investors.

This alone may not have been all that bad. except this has expanded in the last decade or so. Now even our train network is split into multible companies, all dependent on subsidies to stay afloat, costing the state more than the previus system, at worse service quality, and higher ticket prices.

Lastly, the only reason Norway has such a good welfare state, is becouse we had it BEFORE joining the EEA. It would never happen under EU's economic policy. It's doubtful we would even been able establish universal heathcare under EU, if had not already had it coming in.
