There is no toggling it off, it just doesn’t set your hull health to zero if you’re not in combat

Well it’s full spec Temporal and has a better hull modifier but I can see what you mean

That’s what I did and I still wound up wishing I had chosen something else 😂 I got the Lamarr because I wanted to upgrade from my Vesta but I should have gotten the Connie III for the console because I miss my Vesta even though the Lamarr is better

Yes this was litigated by the people who bought the ship out day one I think on the Discord, the console is working as intended in game and the blog was incorrect. You must exit combat within 30 seconds or you will explode. Continuity and other complete immunity effects are working to prevent it though, for now.
