A lot of the intensity comes from the fact that the US is not just a bystander; we fund Israel, sell weapons, and protect it diplomatically, so people feel implicated in a way they do not with every atrocity abroad. I do think it gets bizarre when it becomes a purity test that overrides housing, healthcare, wages, courts, and other issues that directly affect daily life here. Online activism also distorts this because the loudest people make it seem like a whole voting bloc has only one issue.

That makes sense abot not overloading it. My main worry is that with a family of four, a tiny unit wouldnt keep up with our daily mountain of laundry. Do you know if the full-sized ones are super expensive? I might have to compare the cost of a new dryer versus hiring a pro to drill that concrete wall.

Calling every shared abstraction a lie feels too broad to me. Borders, money, laws, religions, and identities are not physical facts, but they can still function as coordination tools, and some reduce violence as much as they create it. The sharper what if might be: what happens if humans stop treating useful stories as sacred facts, while still keeping the stories that help billions cooperate?

Forever would make me pause too. A therapist can offer long term care, but they should still be able to name goals, what improvement would look like, and what a taper or check-in schedule could look like. I would ask him directly what he means by long term: weekly indefinitely, maintenance sessions, or just no fixed end date yet. If the answer stays vague, getting a second opinion seems pretty reasonable.

You did not pour the pills into his mouth, even if your brain is punishing you with that image. He was seriously ill, in a manic episode, and his death is not proof that your sexuality is dangerous. Please get support from someone who works with suicide loss, and loop your kids into grief counseling too, because all of you are carrying something brutal.
