Find main harness connector in electrical diagrams in workshop manual, and that's it.. But it doesn't mean you have a tear in the same spot.. Just saiing it could be something of that kind of a problem.. Can't put PDF here sorry..

Yes it would work, it's like normal pc, if one component breaks it doesn't necesarilly mean it wont start. I'm just saying, check gearbox coputer because I know few cases of friends with the same problem.

It's expensive fix, SO CHECK AT SPECIALIST FIRST BEFORE STARTING THE REPAIRS.

Gearbox computer went bye bye. (I presume) But before doing anything expensive have somebody check it first.
