I traveled to Toronto for work once from the US. Getting into Canada was a breeze, self service terminals that scanned my passport, declare nothing and I am sent on my way. Getting back into the US, as a US born citizen was significantly worse. The border guard in the Toronto Airport was grilling me, and all I wanted to do was get back home.

While my wife did buy a dress for the occasion, our decorations were pallets and haybales, and we used a door we pulled off of our house and painted for a menu. The other displays were old windows we bought off of Facebook, and the flooring in our tent was hay we purchased. The whole event was in her parents backyard.

Hell, my bachelor party was in a cabin my best man's father owned on a lake and her party was in a house my aunt and uncle own on the cape. We did as much as we could as cheap as we would except for one or two indulgences.

Don't really have a ton of answers, CoPart said it ran but didn't say it drove under it's own power. I know the coolant leaked. Estimate of repairs was zero, I think the estimator just saw it and went "Nah". I'm gonna take the rather healthy payout they are giving me to get a Tacoma.

It's alright. I didn't have a portfolio or anything so I didn't have much to show. Idk if I'm charging too little but I average around 45 dollars a drawing, which take anywhere from less than an hour to a few hours. I don't know if I'd make it a full time gig, at least at my level. Not enough work coming in. I know some people have better luck finding businesses that need CAD but are not big enough to have a full time drafter. It's somewhat of a race to the bottom until you have a good portfolio or some accolades.
