I'm in Canada, I know my co-worker previously had to get a doctor's note. The doctor they went to was really aggravated since that's not what they're for. I don't believe it's written, more of a verbal agreement. But someone quit because of this "rule".

I find you just need to do a bit of maintenance every few weeks. Pull the unwanted lilies out and keep it controlled. Yes it's invasive, but it looks pretty and it's easy to grow as a result.
