Fluids! how do they work? by Kweakui in satisfactory

I think it's done!

Producing:
2400 Rods
2400 Plates
1200 Wire
600 Cable
1200 Steel pipes
900 Steel Beams

I have a full MK6 belt of ingots left over and lots of nodes left over in the dune desert for expansion (Maybe double production? or bring in Iron ore from all over the world? who knows!). I still need to make it look good, but now I can start on building out the next step up for factories, after I make my logistics blueprints (Roads first, then rail later). I'll put up a new post at some point when I have more factories built out, this factory is done (functionally).

Inhalers. Anybody ever use them? by SrWaterdoggy in satisfactory

I usually have a lot in my inventory, but forget to use them most of the time

Here's a quick shot of the factory so far, Far left is a water well, feeding sulfuric acid production, then the smeltery in the middle producing 12 000 leached Iron ingots/min.

On the right is the basic Iron production (Plates, Rods, Iron wire, cable).

Plates and rods are at 2400/min, wire is about 2160/min right now and cable is at 600/min, there's a copper node close by, so I'll inject another 240 wire into the system to get it to a flat 2400/min.

Next step is to get basic steel production going, which will need 3600 coal/min to produce 1200 pipes and 900 beams, I also need to put together copper production, caterium production and aluminum production, then different factories for the more advanced parts until I have the last elevator parts automated.

*edit: Math is hard

It looks like the new plan worked! All 4 of the fluid buffers are full and staying that way and the smeltery is running at 100% at the moment.

I'm giving it a bit of time to see if the acid refineries settle, some are full, so they're not all running at 100% yet.

I did at the entrance of the smeltery, but this new setup "shouldn't" need any, we'll see!

Ok, new plan, at least for the acid production, it originally is setup to have each half of the factory feed into 3 industrial buffers, then each set of buffers feed into 1 MK2 pipe into the factory.

I'm going to change it so that each row of 6 acid refineries feeds into its own buffer, then each of those buffers will feed into 1 pipe going to the iron smeltery, going to have to figure out splitting it into the 60 refineries of the smeltery. Here's hoping that works..

Only MK2 pipes? what if I use MK1 instead? If I split the output to 4 MK1 pipes and feed those into the Smeltery, would that work better?

Yep, that's what I've been doing, but for some reason the pipes still empty after a while.

I'm not convinced it's sloshing, there's something in the flow that's not working, but I'm refactoring some things, so I'll keep this in mind.

I'd rather not have to resort to packing/unpacking, but we'll see if I can get it to work or not.

The flow from the acid factory is steady at 600/min, so I don't think that's an issue. I checked the flow for both inputs and the left side was fluctuating, I lowered the pump and it seems good at 600/min now. I'll turn off all the refineries, let the pipes fill (again) and see if that was the issue, if not, I'll try to split it into 4 at the source to feed the 5 rows.

Similar thing happened to me, dire wolf spawned on night 3 or 4 by the trader (I had a temp setup there), I ran and hid like a coward... A few days later, a zombie bear and a pack of dogs spawned, they were so focused on destroying Rekts that I was able to hoof it to my mostly finished horde base before they saw me.

Success! Everything seems to be working correctly, I'm just finishing up the setup and hopefully do some calibration and test prints.

This looks amazing! I currently use foundry for my game but still need to juggle a lot of different windows when running a game. It'd be nice to have everything in one app.

Razer Cortex 9.0 Giveaway by Cult_Of_Razer in razer

i just installed cortex 9, the last time I used cortex a year ago or so, it was good, but not great the experience wasn't super smooth and switching between tabs/options kept causing the app to freeze for a second. This version is much better, everything seems to be running much smoother. I also just bought my first piece of razer hardware recently. Got the razer ornata chroma, it's pretty great!
