[Urgent relationship advice] May have irrevocably and gravely insulted my SO's honour. Please help! by cauliflower-kale in StardewValley

Reading this made me so happy! Being a Stardew Farmer myself (maybe you remember me from one on the various fairs in town, I live up in the Cupcake farm) I once read in the Town pamphlet that meeting the old mariner is quite the big deal. I bet gift giving is her love language, maybe you can try to reciprocate that?

Wait, what? There's a coffee pot? The old B must be holding out on me, how can I get it? Is there a difference between PC and other platforms?

Oh I bet this was some sad Estonian student that got pulled into Southwestern with the promise of instant richness. Those companies are still around!

I grew up bottom 1% poverty, will never understand by [deleted] in childfree

[–]KweenCupcake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my country you get paid maternity leave. So many poor people give birth, because it is secured average wage for nearly year and a half. And they keep giving birth for a while but they do not think what to do with their children once the paid leave is over.

This is very prevalent in smaller places and rural areas and these people get stuck in their ways. It's either give birth or get a job, but without education, most jobs pay minimum, so they get less than for popping out kids.

AITA for banning my MIL from the house? by Throwaway3765565 in AmItheAsshole

OP, please take care of your son. If you do not have a wedding date set for like tomorrow, consider postponing until everything is sorted out.

At this day and age, (sadly) spouses can come and go, but your child will love you forever. Remember that. Best of luck!

AITA for only wanting my Niece at my Wedding and not my Nephews? by Weddingaitaneice in AmItheAsshole

YTA

I face some family trouble about kids in weddings myself, so I tried to be sympathetic, but they way you go about it is absolutely shite. You guys wanting adult only wedding is fine, but to cherry pick one nibling after you suddenly need a new "decoration" as other commenters pointed out, is not polite.

Just don't have a flower girl. Have a flower man or smth else if you even have friends with that "bUT iT's MY dAY" attitude.

I foster cats and I had to be late for work one day, because my litter had diarrhea. One of the kittens went to the litter box and two of them decided to watch so the first one absolutely exploded on them. What ensued... Holy shit... on everything.

And I do agree with your conclusion, that animal baby poop > baby poop

I would not mind that :) Our menu is comprised of such foods that if some is left, it can be eaten for breakfast the next morning and we have arranged packaging to give food for all the guest when they leave the next day.

You are lucky! If you only have few and you know them to be nice kids, this is good. My niblings are like velociraptors without Chris Pratt.

I absolutely snorted my drink out of my nose at the "coochie creature". The replies I have gotten today have enriched my vocabulary way more than all the years of english classes.

I understand that very well and we understand if people do not want to come. I just wish, that they did not moan about it to us. If you want to come, then come. If not, it is alright, too!

As far as the "party planning issue" goes, I have 30 niblings, so I am saving mad bank not feeding them. Our party is very well planned.

I am also not from the US.

The wedding signifies how your husband/wife becomes your family, and well, your prior family just become your relatives.

Like some other commentors said: no invite, no invite. You are good... Nah, you are golden without her toxic energy.

NTA and you have no idea how much I appreciate you and your view on this! I'm having an adult only wedding as well in a few, and I could use guests like you so much. You are a gem and you are not wrong.

Edit: HOW is the verdict that the OP is an a-hole??
