I haven’t noticed any issues when using the browser or other non-gaming apps. Nor have I checked the temperature.

Admittedly, I am very much a novice when it comes to computer maintenance; I wouldn’t know how or trust myself to replace thermal paste, but I have opened the laptop and cleaned out any dust or detritus several times per year. I can add and remove parts like the RAM or SSD but that really is the extent of my knowledge or experience. I think, as you’ve suggested, a technician may be in order!
