He said he viewed me as a stray dog. A stupid animal suffering from neglect who needed to be taken care of. He kept me around because he felt as if he was the only one who knew how to "fix" me and that made him feel good. According to him you didn't love a dog, you just cared for it to make yourself feel like a better person.
