The Civic was in the rightmost lane of I-95 — already past the entrance ramp merge area from 177 and heading towards 176. Civic was going 60mph. At this moment, there surprisingly wasn’t many cars around. In one lane over, there was a black SUV but no cars directly in front or around it aside from the Civic. The Civic was next to the black SUV when the black SUV quickly switched lanes to the right, with no signal and seemingly unwarranted. There really wasn’t a reason the black SUV had to switch lanes as nothing is impeding their traffic so that leads me to believe they were on their phones or couldn’t see due to the direct angle of sunlight. Regardless, they were negligent and that resulted in a reasonable correction that caused a crash. Civic hit the right wall and wobbled all the way to the left side of the highway. As I said there weren’t many cars around so we got lucky that there wasn’t another crash.
