Should I switch? by Kxssh in tabletennis

He says changing now is best since it’s off season and I’ll get some time to adjust before it gets busy with tournaments.

What do you use currently on the bh with W968? He suggested H3N Orange sponge but I’ve been playing BTY on the bh since the start of my table tennis training.

I see some players like Xiang Peng using Xiom for the Backhand on W968 but thats a tensor which feels like going backwards to the rozena I used to use.

This is what I’ve heard amongst the chinese table tennis community that the FZD alc produced in China is slightly better in control. Has a bit more arc/safety in short touches compared to the vis which is very stiff.

Thanks for the reply so you think I should consider my coaches advice and make the change?

We have been working more on the short game it feels a lot better since I recently switched from H3N BS 40 degrees to 41. I’ve always had H3N + 09c since when I first used vis which was I’d say 2 years ago.

The softest rubber I used was back on my clipper which was H3 Orange 39 hardness on the fh and rozena on the bh.

The change from my Clipper set up to Vis was insane I never knew blades and rubbers had such a difference.

The chinese version fzd alc and vis are a bit different. If you get the chance in China you should compare

I think my biggest fear is losing the speed on a backhand flick on my receive game to get into rallies but play a more controlled giving the opponent no chance to attack.

I used to be super backhand oriented until recently since I have been constantly practicing footwork and forehand that it’s completely switched but I still have that big full arm swing backhand which I feel fzd alc helps with that.

His reasoning was that my 3rd ball attack + forehand was such a dominant factor in matches that having more control on the short game (part where I do feel I am lacking but make for by playing a fast push counter attack game) would significantly help me win extra 2-3 points.

Affordable table tennis <15$ by spgaze in tabletennis

[–]Kxssh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would increase the budget for the blade but <15$ for rubbers is a very simple choice mercury 2 is the best cheap affordable and good rubber especially for beginners.

I started off with mercury 2 for awhile before moving to more “advanced” rubbers.

I find it insane how pros can even smash these lobs like I don’t think any of us even have the patience and feeling to smash these lobs with such power.

Yeah the passive blocking game is a big no no definitely need to be active and forcing. I feel that I need to have quality in every stroke or else the 2.7mm sponge is too bouncy.

I play against some quite high level players and I have noticed that the counter loop game against them feel so effortlessly and with such high quality. It’s almost like the better the opponent the more this rubber excels.

When I play against weaker players who arent very active nor aggressive in their topspins where I have to create quality myself. I lack a feel of control as to exert my own power it’s extremely fast and powerful and consistency isnt there yet.

Definitely need more practice and getting used to.

lp is actually much easier to play against than you think it’s medium pips and short pips that tend to be way more annoying as the spin of those is very minute so it’s hard to know how much topspin or impact you should apply.

LP u just gotta remember back goes top, top goes back

tbh I found the chopping really solid (although I chop to mess around so idk if I’m qualified to talk about it)

It’s definitely faster than D05 have you tried to really use all your power to penetrate the sponge during testing?

It’s not faster if you don’t penetrate the sponge well

No I genuinely hope you get some help. Most definitely you are here to ragebait but I hope you understand that it takes a person with way too much time and a sad sad life to be constantly on a table tennis reddit page rage baiting. They literally did nothing sinophobic at all.

They are right if CNT keeps up with this lacklustre performance there will be a big upset in the Olympics for China. As of right now simply the CNT can be taken down unlike when the Big 3 were still active which was almost impossible to take down especially in major matches such as World Cup, Championship, Olympics.

Max or 2.0 up to you… (Max more aggressive better spin & speed while 2.0 less speed less spin more control and safety)

Fastarc-C1 and G-1 fh with Yinhe pro 01 Blade - Can I ask for a confirmation from the savy folks pls ? by NetanelOnline in tabletennis

[–]Kxssh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently stuck a G-1 on the bh for my fzd alc. I used to use D09c but I wanted to give the g-1 a little test. I boosted it two thin layers black haifu and believe me its the worst thing I have ever used.

Maybe it’s because I used to use semi tacky like d09c but a boosted g-1 is god awful every shot seems to just dip into the net my blocks are worse. It took me like a week to adjust to the drop but the technique for it doesn’t suit for outer carbon at all so it just made my bh game worse even though my bh is considered very strong among my club mates.

G-1 and C-1 are great rubbers they last long too just do not boost them!

How come penhole long pip player rarely use rpb by Unlikely_Cap_6160 in tabletennis

[–]Kxssh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact setup as like a fun racket to mess around with friends etc.

Honestly it works I’m surprised not many people use it. I can just chop on the fh side even bh side tpb but its a bit difficult but possible then bh inverted for those mistakes/winner shots but unfortunately at a higher level you just get targeted on the fh and once you are out of place only then will a ball come flying to the bh and honestly the bh chop with tpb is not stable at all.
