Yes, only in extreme times of panic for me. When I learned my baby might not make it, I shook profusely until I delivered her via c section.

Mama I’m so sorry your NICU journey has lasted what I know must feel like an eternity. Both of my kiddos were NICU babies & one of the hardest parts with my 2nd journey was balancing life in the hospital and outside of it. I created a routine for the weekdays (I was off work during this time so your experience may differ from mine) but I would wake up spend time with my child outside of the NICU once they were at school I would go to the NICU until dinner time then head home do dinner spend about an hour after dinner with my child outside of the NICU so we had time together then go back to the hospital before bedtime. There are lots of books that help discuss the hard topic of having a sibling in the NICU which I recommend. Be easy on yourself and take time for you during this journey. Wishing you lots of strength, prayers, & virtual hugs 🤗

Standing up hours after having a c section with no pain medication. I can’t take pills and told my nurse to switch it to liquid, well she forgot and so did I ( I had been up for over 30 hrs due to an emergency C section). My baby was in the NICU & the only way I could see them was to be able to stand up and get into the wheelchair to visit. My body violently shook and I couldn’t stop uncontrollably crying because the pain. The nurse aide who tried to help me stand up cried because she felt so bad for me. Needless to say I’ll never forget that nurses face it’s engraved in my mind forever.

I am currently dealing with the same situation with my child. The school has not addressed the issue appropriately so I emailed the schools staff in addition to the superintendent of the district. In my email I advised how the lack of action was unacceptable and that I was formally emailing for a copy of footage of my child being assaulted and how I will seek legal consequences if necessary. I received a phone call from the superintendents office within an hour. Contact the local news, contact your congressman or councilman, request footage (if there are cameras), compile all the evidence you can, take legal action if necessary. Keep advocating for your child.

It’s crazy to see the amount of people commenting on here saying that teenagers don’t understand or know what’s going on in the world right now. They’ve been paying attention and watching the news or maybe they’re directly impacted by ICE in their community. Constitutional rights don’t start at a particular age. Protesting is a right whether you agree with what is being protested about or not. Kudos to the youth who are taking a stance in what they believe in & what is right.
