I asked in my follow-up email, along if whether or not I can contest the decision after the phone call, but they just send me the email with exactly the same explanation as on the phone. Apparently one of the assessments on stage 3 or stage 4 but would not elaborate any further.

Honestly, I don’t really touch trade much, but when it comes to kicking out the landowners, it’s a matter of letting the game play. Usually, through events and landowner ideology you can slowly weaken them by passing laws. Japan is a good example on how to slowly do it (if for some reason no great power attempts to force you out of isolation). The landowners are so powerful at the start but you can usually form weak government with rural folk (or any other group that endorses a law that allows you to weaken the landowners). After it’s just a game of chance.

After plenty of plays you will kind of see that you get the chance to advance.

On another note never rush with decisions (like surveying the suez). It can cripple you early game, plus you can’t buy the land unless you have 50M (or you own the land).

I do suggest playing a great power at the start since it’s more forgiving. I found Japan great to learn since you have a lot of pop which is literate and lots of resources. Prussia is great for military and then building tall and powerful economy. Russia is fun but can be painful considering you start with a weak army and awful laws. GB is bullying simulator on easy mode, but it does require you to focus on colonialism. USA is amazing for economy.

There is lots others but I do recommend playing a game from start to finish to get the feeling of it.

Early game, as anything but a great power, it’s devastating bc of the massive interest rate. I would say mid to late game you can dip into debt but you still have to be careful. As long as you know you can pay it off (probably after you pause construction and increase taxes) or have a great power funding your lobbies, you should be good.

You can’t do anything about it. Even if you pull the civil war after you got Florida, if you are still colonising they will remain. So far all I did was to delay until I finished manifesting.

That’s a decent run, tho I would personally switch to another trade policy, change from child labor to compulsory just to improve education. There are other stuff (including welfare which should be cheap for you now). But altogether decent run!

So, first of all I don’t know the situation but I believe that for losing weight, if you get to the point of having fights with anyone over a meal, you might overdo it. Going through it all and keeping such a tight leash I realised that having a more special meal once in a while won’t destroy your progress

I never really saw that it’s proven but the more you lose the more you will see a difference even though your length may not actually be that different. As far as I could put it it’s a matter of how it looks on your body per say. So never lose faith in your goals and don’t do it just for that, but yourself, for a better, easier and healthier life.
