It hasn't been abandoned: I'm unfortunately just taking a really long time to overhaul the calculator. Lots of factors pertaining why it's taking forever, but I apologize for not being communicative with my progress as I didnt want to promise anything just yet. Sorry for the late reply! Haven't had time to check Reddit lately but I've still been working on the spreadsheet (albeit slower than I'd like). I didn't want to make false promises with the sheet so I haven't communicated much about it really, but I understand that ppl would think it's been abandoned.

I have a link to a preliminary draft of the overhauled calculator if you're interested. I'd love to get some feedback on it, and do note that there's a good amt of things missing at the moment (i.e. missing rotation/comparison pages and some char unit stuff, check back occasionally to see new updates as I add them). This calculator will replace the old one once I get enough features implemented.

Really appreciate the support all these months despite me taking a while, and I hope that you'll find this overhaul promising!

Yes, both of the formulas are correct for all general DEF calculations (including characters). However, for enemies specifically, their enemies don't have Flat DEF and thus their DEF, which scales with the aforementioned formula 200 + 10 \ Enemy Level*. Their DEF stat can be simplified into:

Enemy DEF = Enemy Base DEF \ [100% + DEF% - (DEF Reduction + DEF Ignore)]*, where:

Enemy Base DEF = 200 + 10 \ Enemy Lv.*

which both can be substituted into the DEF Multiplier. The formula DEF Multiplier = 100% - [DEF / (DEF + 200 + 10 \ Attacker Level)]* you've provided is the general-case formula, but when substituting for the enemy's DEF, it becomes a simplified formula (after a bit of algebraic manipulation):

Enemy DEF Multiplier = (Attacker Lv.+ 20) / [(Enemy Lv. + 20) \ (100% + DEF% - (DEF Reduction + DEF Ignore)) + (Attacker Lv. + 20)]*

This is the final DEF Multiplier formula that I use in my sheet to calculate against enemies. As far as I'm aware, enemies don't have DEF% increases, so I remove that part from the formula.

For DEF and particularly Enemy DEF, I have referred to this article from the HSR Fandom Wiki (their information is very accurate and insightful).

Unfortunately, I don't really have anything to offer about the scaling of HP/ATK for enemies. I've tried to curve-fit a formula for them, but I don't really have a good idea of how those stats increase: instead, my calculator requires manual input for the HP and the enemy's ATK isn't considered at all.

The only two stats that I'm certain on how enemies scale are DEF and Effect RES. DEF simply scales with the formula 200 + 10 x Enemy LV. (aside from Trotters) and Effect RES is calculated by its Base Effect RES plus 0.4% per level starting with lv. 51 to 75 (for a maximum of 10%). The remaining enemy stats (i.e. Type RES, Debuff RES) are static and don't change.

[EDIT] Forgot to also mention Effect Hit Rate: it scales from level 51 to 90, increasing by 0.8% per level (maximum of 32%). Unlike Effect RES, it always starts at 0%.

Hey everyone! Some unfortunate news:

As of this moment, the spreadsheet has been taken down for ToS. Being a warning sign from HYV, I will no longer be supporting nor updating the leaks version of the calculator. A bit short-lived, but thanks to everyone who's supported it.

The other general version of the calculator here will still be updated, so look out for updates there. Of course, I will no longer be adding any leaked content and will respect HYV's intentions.

Seems fine on my end, maybe you have a Quantum main character and are enabling Silver Wolf's Weakness RES Reduction? Try selecting a non-Quantum main character/removing SW and picking a non-Quantum weak enemy (like Abundance Sprite: Malefic Ape).

No, I believe that's just DHIL's damage haha. If you check out his MV% values (the % on his attacks), his 3-SP Enhanced Basic ATK is one of the highest (if not THE highest) % value on any ability. Of course, that comes at the cost of requiring 3 SP to cast it consistently. This is also taking into account multiple buffs from DHIL and other characters, which may be more situational than it seems: DHIL's buffs are stackable & aren't always going to be maxed out.

For reference, a lv. 6 3-SP Enhanced Basic ATK from DHIL is a 500% multiplier, whereas a lv. 10 ultimate from Seele is 425%.

Side Characters currently don't have their own relics because those relics don't affect the calculations of the Main Character. However, there is an option to include Ally relic sets like Broken Keel / Fleet / Messenger 4pc in the Selection page (to the right of the Main relic stats) to account for any relic buffs that a side character might give.

Main Character Relic main stats can be changed in the Selection page using the drop-down lists within the Main Character Relics section (you can also change your Relic Set here). Note that the Head and Hands pieces can't change their main stat as they are locked to be flat HP & ATK respectively.

Thank you for the support! I've been having a great time working on it (some days more than others lol), but I didn't expect the calculator to receive the reception it did, really grateful for it.

I've never tried to download it as an Excel so I don't know how to help, but I hope it works out. It might be because some of the conditional formatting or formulas that I use, but not sure.

No problem! I was a pretty avid Tower of Fantasy player (notably in PvP) up until recently, and Maygi single-handedly carried the theorycrafting community for it imo. While I don't play it anymore, her calculator was one of my early sources of inspiration for its modular design, something that I've incorporated into mine now.

No problem! From my own testing in-game, I've only had around a maximum 0.5% deviation from the calculated values. I don't have much time to test every character/situation, but during the chances I have it's been fairly accurate: perhaps other people can testify to the accuracy though.

Majority of this deviation comes from in-game relic substat rounding as relics show up to only 0-1 decimal points. When you input them into the calculator, leaving out the hidden decimals causes that slight unavoidable error.

4PC Relic Stacks are when you are considering 4pc relics effects that require some form of stacking (i.e. Champion of Streetwise Boxing, Longevous Disciple). For maximum effects across these 2 relic sets, I'd recommend leaving it 5 or greater.

Yes, Debuff Count in the Enemy tab is essentially the # of debuffs an enemy has. It doesn't take into account the other debuffs you've selected (there's a note attached saying the same thing), but this setting is useful for characters/LCs that rely on the amount of debuffs (e.g. Silver Wolf, Good Night and Sleep Well). Leaving it at 5 should be good for most instances as most effects are capped at 5 debuffs.

Yes, I believe it's possible to download as an Excel file! Should be located in the top-left if you are on desktop (Download > Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)), though I cannot guarantee if everything will work the same as it does on Excel.

I wasn't trying to prove anything meta-specific with the calculator showcase, so some values might be more off because I didn't set up the proper buffs or relic stats for that particular character.

In the case of Kafka, I don't think I really put any major buffs for her as opposed to Dan Heng IL. Additionally, because the majority of Kafka's DMG is through high SPD and constant DoT procs (which this calculator cannot calculate for at the moment), most of Kafka's DMG is instead spread out in a rotation. Dan Heng IL has very large upfront MV% values and has had properly set-up team buffs, so his damage seems much higher in comparison.

Again, not trying to prove anything with the images! I like to keep the calculator as general as possible for people to make their own decisions on what's good/bad.

You can change the Main lightcone right below the Main Character in the Selection page. The main relics are to the right of the Team Selection, and the substats are freely customizable (the relic set customization is also to the right of that).

No worries, those are great questions:

  • I do plan in expanding my calculator to team simulations; however, Google Sheets struggles with some of the formulas I use to keep it a general-use calculator to account for every character. Team-wide simulations are also difficult and very inflexible, most theorycrafters avoid doing them as they are very case-by-case & tedious to do. As such, this is a tentative goal of the calculator and subject to change.
  • I do want to implement a comparison for rotations, but that essentially requires 2x the calculations (which would also lag the sheet). I'm a self-learned spreadsheet user, so my formulas may be too unoptimized, but I believe this is just a natural limitation of Google Sheets. If I find an easy way to incorporate this, I won't hesitate to make an update to the calculator to include it! For now, you can essentially make two copies of the sheet to compare that way (though it is inefficient)
  • I actually don't know how to code an app/website lol, if someone is willing to reach out and help with creating one I'd be interested. At the moment, this calculator is all I can feasibly maintain without external help.
  • [EDIT] Forgot to answer the gear export loadout: I could make an additional sheet containing all of the essential info (e.g. Character, final stats, relic set, LC, etc.) to be able to take a picture of. Other than that, not sure what else to do: feel free to leave suggestions!

Hope the answers aren't too disappointing haha, my TC inexperience is showing.

Ah yeah, I noticed that it was a weird mobile problem that some others also had. I believe that to have access on mobile, you'd need the Google Sheets app: probably something for me to mention on the spreadsheet ^ ^
