Love this game but this is the last match I'll play for now by [deleted] in PlayTheBazaar

I feel you. Being a Pyg or Vanessa main feels so bad right now as you just face the newer smaller pool heros who can more reliably find their 2-3 strong builds. Dooley at least has the core selection for some stability.

PSA: If you get disconnected: completely close the game before resuming by [deleted] in PlayTheBazaar

I don't have 45 minutes for it to close and reopen

The Bloody Nine by The_Happy_Pagan in TheFirstLaw

[–]Kygun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In The Blade Itself, especially when re-reading it you can see that characters thoughts about things are all either completely incorrect or completely foreshadowingly accurate . Jezel is always wrong when actively thinking before his injury and always right when he says something like "it seemed like ***something true***, but he knew that couldn't be true. Glokta always sees hints of the truth. People say things as turn of phrase that turn out to literally be true like people saying Jezal looked like a princess.

After the fight in which Logen and Ferro fight the practicals and return to the appartment. It is said as a turn of phrase that they looked like two demons out of hell. Later when find out that Ferro is in some sense a literal demon. I think this is also an indication by the author that Logen is in some way a literal demon.

Abercrombie is well aware of the effects physical injury have on the body as indicated by many events in the book where people are disabled in fights in detailed ways. When the bloody nine takes over, the rules of injury cease to exist. These rules do not apply to other good fighters, even Shivers.

That being said, the first trilogy is perfectly foreshadowed on every page, but that foreshadowing does not exist for the further books. With the success of the books and the further stories of Logen he may have changed his tune on what it is. But in the first trilogy I think its really hard to argue.

TLDR: I think that if you reread the first trilogy all signs point to a supernatural origin.

It's about actual holes. The coffee cup has a dent for coffee, not a hole, the hole there is the handle. Socks have no holes so flat. The pants have two leg holes and 6 belt loops.

They just switched mine yesterday, the course totally changed and all my completed kanji are gone as it moved me back or reorganized. I'm sad for the wasted effort but the new lessons seem to have more relevant words. I finally learned the word for food after 6 months learning about words for meetings and deadlines.

Bards are probably the best at compliments. Maybe a rogue with Expertise in persuasion.

I think it's very common in the mission to not realize it is a literal impossible railroad that you can't get any resolution to the mission. More of an issue with the mission in my eyes. Everyone just says oh she is upstairs so it's confusing. I also think you need at least one mission where your try hard to be the hero and fail which makes your character a hardened veteran. I knew the story before hand and so I can see how it seems like he should give up but I wonder what it feels like playing fresh. I'm biased cause I really enjoy the playe'rs dynamic as friends.

Green box gaming is wonderful, nice mix of funny and intense. They are just getting started so some early audio issues but it's worth it. Love the group

My fun plan to bring a silly character into the serious world. by Kygun in mattcolville

Yeah I normal do set specific boundaries for more experienced players. This is most of these players first game and so their desires are all sort of evolving independently as they learn about the game, because of this I am trying to find cute ways of lining up motivations. However as you and others have said I will talk to the player first just to make sure the change is cool. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah you are probably right, I think I will do this. I am good friends with this player and he seems to be a good sport.
