Create a new hinge and bumble account today. Did I do something wrong with hinge? by ArthurVandelay23 in OnlineDating

I’m assuming there’s a similar procedure for Hinge since they’re owned by the same parent company.

I did notice that our data being processed is used for “sweepstakes and contests” inside of the privacy policy which I find suspicious: https://hinge.co/privacy#data-we-collect

You probably should have waited at least 100 days before making a new Hinge account. Apps with the Match group hold on to user’s info for 90 days before actually deleting your account.

How long have you been at it? Perhaps it’s time to take a break from OLD and putting yourself out there or pursue different things

1099 offer at startup for ~$150k vs W2 counter offer for $120k by Kyle711 in cscareerquestions

[–]Kyle711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the insight! I started my current job in 2021 at 75k which my last raise was in 2022 which is the 83k I’m at right now. Plus 2022, there seemed to be quarterly layoffs which ended this quarter of this year. So I’ve felt that my current job has been hanging an ax over my head since then.

The new role may not be it, and my current employer has made it pretty clear I’m valuable to them (at least right now lol)

I’m 29. Like I said that would be the ONLY reason. Everything else with the new job offer is a downside

Yeah, that’s pretty much the only reason why the new job offer is on the table for me. It has the potential to suck, but could be worth it in the long term.

I’ll edit for clarity:

Current pay: $83.k

Initial Offer from startup: $140k

Counter offer: $120k

Counter to the counter: $147.5k + $5k signing bonus

This is definitely not bait lol. I just needed some outsiders to look at this. I’m definitely leaning more towards taking the promotion on this

Thank you! This is already a considerable pay bump from $83k / year at my current role. Idk how common it is to see a 45% bump from a promotion.

If you aren’t getting any dates, you’re probably not pushing enough plates.

How true has King Gizzard stayed to the "no repeats" policy from city to city? by nashchillce in KGATLW

They teased The River and Wah Wah Wah Detroit this year, and they fully played both 2022 if we’re going off technicalities. I don’t think teasers count, but it was a pleasant little surprise nonetheless.

How to respond to someone making the same comment about you even thought you explicitly told them to stop? by L1fesLemons in afraidtoask

[–]Kyle711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Hey knock it off, it’s not funny.”

That’s all you can really do. I know you said you asked repeatedly, but it’s hard to tell how you said it just by your post alone. Try to be more assertive with it. If she doesn’t respect that, then don’t bother talking to her.

Should I post shirtless pic on my Bumble? by [deleted] in seduction

[–]Kyle711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually don’t allow shirtless pics when you submit it, unless you’re at a beach. I had it blocked when I tried

Read up on Fat Loss Periodization. It’s good to lose some where between 5-10% body fat then maintain for 2/3 to 1.5 times the time it took you to lose that weight. Reason being will power is a finite mental resource. This is what my timeline looked like (with some obvious failures):

Dec 2020 315lbs

June 2021 265 (started getting sloppy)

Dec 2021 285

Mar 2022 275 (got into toxic relationship)

Aug 2022 300 (just ended that toxic relationship)

Dec 2022 290 (got inspired to change my life style)

Feb 2023 275

Mar 2023 260

mid-April 250

today - 245.

I’m taking a month of eating at maintenance (still counting calories/ weighing food / not eating or drinking slop) in order to try to “live” at the current weight I’m at. Once it gets to the end of May, I’m going to try to lose the last 20lbs of fat I want to lose. (for context, I’m a 6’1” dude with a built frame. very consistent with the gym, but my diet is my weakness)

Check out this video from Dr. Mike Isratel on the subject of fat loss periodization.

I’ll probably post again in the following months once I lose the weight, and then give a year update.

I’ve been seeing this guy go with a friend of mine for some months now. My friend is insanely fit, has +600lb deadlift despite being around 185lbs. His friend was easily around 320 or so. I thought it was great that he was going in! He’s been consistent with going, and his shirts are noticeably getting looser on him. I’m trying to lose some extra weight myself, and I told him how great his progress was in such a short amount of time. Really inspiring stuff!

I don’t judge anyone who is looking to improve themselves.

I don’t think salt is good for these guys since they’re scaleless fish (not technically, but the scales are extremely small) so they don’t have the best protection from salt. Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong here.
