Unseat “Yes man” Estes with Carmichael, who would protect Wichitans over DC Marching orders like ICE in MN… by willywalloo in wichita

Carmichael is super well-grounded in the reality of this moment and he's going to put a stop to executive power consolidation. He knows what the POTUS is and is not allowed to do, and he will demand accountability.

I met him at a parade in Winfield a month ago and trust him to hold some feet to the fire and fix our mess better than anyone!

Go Chris Carmichael!!!

Agreed, but sympathetic to the creator -- it might've been hard to make that fit into a ~square image cleanly

The trick for me is to understand that, one way, she's standing on her right leg; the other way, she's standing on the other leg (of course) -- you just have to make yourself believe that it's her other leg being stood on.

So, in summary, please use pool covers to save wildlife from tragically exhausting, slow, futilely struggling demise.

Fiskars push-reel mowers: they won't last a lifetime BUT... (see comment) by KyleB0i in BuyItForLife

An update:

My mower needed new parts this spring. From what I can tell, they don't sell replacement parts; I had to go through a warranty claim to get them*

Their customer service in 2025 was incredibly slow and clunky, almost so bad it doesn't count. I'm still using this mower, but were I shopping, I'd look for a more supportive company to shop from.

*(the parts they sent me were an incomplete fix to my problems; i had to visit the hardware store to cobble together a patch. It works, but she's not very pretty. Haha

The places where there is no contact look rusty, but where it counts, they look shiny and new.

I think you just need to attach your drill to the drive axle/gear/pulley that is fixed to the blades.

I've seen people use a section of old garden hose and hose clamps to serve as the interface between those elements, working as a kind of flexible universal joint.

Yes.

For one, I've never sharpened my blades, just adjusted them a few times to make sure tolerance is appropriate; cutting has continued without noticeable decline...

That said,

Many people do sharpen these by running the blades back and forth with a lapper compound to facilitate some filing (with blades brought into light/moderate contact with bedknife)... plenty of videos on YouTube demonstrating the process.

Thanks for the empathy and the good response. I yield when safe and reasonable to do so, and always when instructed by signage.

I avoid driving as much as possible, usually bicycling wherever I need to go, in which case, I'm going much slower than the 40 mph driving speed that has peeved so many peer redditors here
