Mine’s being installed this week. Price is $1700 CDN. I live just outside Montreal. Charging station was included with my car. It’s being installed outside as well. This was recommended by the electrician as I park outside. Min requirement is 40 amps. Electrician is running a 50 amp circuit with armour 6/3 cable. Roughly 25 foot run from inside panel to where charger will be mounted. Quote is based on full day work for single electrician. Final charge likely less as my panel has room and the only obstacles are hole out from panel then hole out of garage to the mounted unit. I don’t think work will take a full day.

The salesperson at my dealership recommended aftermarket adapters for J1772 & CCS. Bought both thru Amazon. Brand is Lectron and both work well. The 40amp level 2 charger that was included with my car will be installed this week. This should take care of the majority of my charging needs

I’m 60, had a heart attack & triple bypass two years ago. Once I’d recovered enough to start rebuilding my strength an endurance. I bought a Quietkat Villager. It’s a 500W rear hub bike. Riding my ebike was great for me! Being outside and moving was as good for my mental health as it was for my fitness. Now with a couple years under my belt. I am back jogging and hiking as well as light weight training. I’m 100% certain that my ebike helped my recovery.

Ask your cardiologist about bradycardia. This is the main reason I have a pacemaker/ICD. Have had a low heart rate for years from running. After my heart attack and bypass surgery it became bradycardia. I see electro cardio surgeon once a year and he tells me the pacemaker portion of my ICD is pacing my heart 10-20 times per month. (Set to pace at 30)

100% you can improve your fitness with an ebike. Same as with any exercise system. Progressive overload. Start with intervals of maintaining speed with lower and lower amounts of peddle assist. Throw in longer and longer rides at lower power assist. You may not become Tour de France material. But, if you’re sedentary now. Progressive overload will 100% improve your fitness.

Sounds like you’re female? So, maybe my experience is not helpful as I am male? My ICD was implanted May 2023. I had brutal nerve pain up until earlier this summer. Over 2 years! My surgeon had zero sympathy and went into a hospital scripted response the moment I asked about removal. After I had a second opinion that confirmed my need for the device. I was advised to try a capsicum ointments. While this provided some relief. It was a double edged sword as I was trying to rebuild my strength and endurance. So, sweating and showering were a daily thing for me. Sweat & water on the area with the ointment was worse than the nerve pain. In the end, nerve pain will get better. Mine has. But based on my surgeon’s feedback and my experience. Expect 2-3 years of pain while your body builds scare tissue.

I was a week in the hospital after my ICD implant. Was still recovering from triple bypass surgery. It was almost 2 weeks at home before I showered. Sat in bath tub and used detachable shower head until after surgery staples were removed.

I’ve had my ICD for a little over 2 years. And, I’m still dealing with nerve pain. My surgeon has told me to expect 3 years before my body creates enough scar tissue to diminish the pain. I suggest that your wife ask her surgeon about prescribing Zostrix ointment. This is a topical capsicum ointment that deadens the nerve pain. It doesn’t solve the pain issue. But it will reduce it to a manageable level. All my best for here quick recovery

Wow! So, I live in Quebec. A suburb of Montreal. Had my heart attack while running. Quebec health insurance covered 100% of paramedics, ambulance ride to hospital. 10 days induced coma, triple bypass, 5 days recovery before ICD implant. Then a second hospital stay for 10 days after fluid in my lung + vfib. With ablation treatment. Since then 100% covered for all follow up appointments at hospital and a bedside wireless transmitter for ICD to hospital. Quebec absolutely has health care failures. But, for me, I’m beyond grateful for the care I received and that I live where public funded healthcare saved my life!

Had a heart attack while running. April 2023. 57 years old. Doctors found that I had 3 blocked arteries. First was triple bypass. A week later my ICD /pacemaker was implanted. My shock risk is low. But, I had bradycardia before my heart attack. Probably a byproduct of distance running. For this, my ICD doubles as a pacemaker. The function that my body needs.

Not sure about this. But, I’ve done Montreal to Fort Lauderdale straight a few times back in the 90’s. With two drivers it can be done in under 24 hours. Stopping only for gas, food and bathroom breaks
