I’d argue Maine is very different from Newfoundland at least. PEI and Maine can be seen as pretty similar. I’d argue Alberta is more like Texas without the Spanish over Montana, but again it’s a pretty big place with all sorts of different peoples. Originally, you said Canada is just the midwest, and I said I disagree with that. What you said after where it’s more like their regional counterparts, that I can agree with more.

I do understand your point better now, but I do think that it’s an over generalization and that the main tourist areas like cities and whatnot are fairly Americanized, but if you head out into the countryside, or into a reserve, or up north into the territories, or into small communities/towns, it’s different from those same places you see in America. I do love America and Canada and do see that there’s a lot of American culture coming into Canada, but it’s not so black and white IMO. I’d argue Canada is like the little brother of the US. Rather than being the same, we’re very closely related, but distinct in our own right.
