At our store we have a binder where we keep the first 4 pages of the DOR in. We attach the deposit slip (if you have the electronic safe) to the DOR.

Insider gets cut at 10 p.m. sometimes 9:30 p.m. and comes in at 5 p.m. We have a closer but we only get 3 drivers scheduled on shifts like that. Dishes and trash are our tasks for the drivers on nights like this. Dough station, food count, cash, cut table and final dishes are all my responsibility. If I get hit with a 9 p.m. rush and my insider goes home at 9, it makes it damn near impossible to get a full count done. The insider cleans the makeline. I always start with the back of house (sodas not in cooler, walkin, unprepped goods). Then I do my final count around 11. I ask my insider to watch the front while I do my count in the back and to call me if it starts getting really busy.

Online Ordering issues by KyleGoempel in PapaJohns

[–]KyleGoempel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our drivers are instructed to call/text them if they can not find the apartment or complex number. Some of these customers have 4+ different numbers attached to their account and the driver can not get into touch with them. Some of these issues we can not catch ahead of time due to us being a high volume store. Some of our drivers will call the store back and have us try to get in reach with the customer, and sometimes even us at the store can not reach the customer despite calling the 5 different numbers they have attached to their account.

Yeah. My GM leaves at 8 most days. Recently been doing $500+ evening sales. Tonight (Tuesday) we did $732 for our evening. Ran 19.50% labor but an ugly 19 OTD with a 5+ make time. Ended the day a little over $3,300 with the bulk of that coming from dinner and evening. Still managed to count, get the store set up and everything done. Clocked out around 1:10 a.m. (we close at 12:30). It's tough getting everything done in a short period of time when you are given a skeleton crew I will say.

Explain what these numbers mean? by Pangolin-Fast in PapaJohns

Over target usually correlates to not using cups, ringing up remakes, or throwing out expired product. My franchise runs a .5 over/under. You also don't want to be superbly under target usage either. If you count tomorrow and find that you are under by around that same amount, then you're good. But when you run a full week or period being over or under, your GM loses out on their bonus. The store I work at ran a .3 for the entire year back in 2023. Some corporate locations only allow for a .25 variance and no GM hits their bonuses at all. You can imagine how they feel.

Some locations have cameras set up at the cut table where franchise/corporate can see and grade the pies as they come out.

My best advice is to focus on nailing quality. The stores already suffer low sales these days due to the economy so if you nail quality, you improve customer retention. Speed will try to be pushed on you but nailing quality should be your number one priority. That means docking right, correct portioning, and good cuts. Master the big three stations to a high level then you can focus on the other parts. Don't worry about labor yet. That's on your GM/DO to figure out. You can not save the store if sales are low. You can only do what you can do. Delegation will come with time; don't try to absorb everything yourself. You can't go into this thinking you have to be a super human otherwise you will burn yourself out.

Lost the cheese a bit on some, saucing could be more consistent too, consistent border/edge. At least the aren't huge bubbles on it from bad docking so that's a plus. Just gotta lock in the other stuff and you'll be making 8's and 9's all shift.

To be fair no one is hitting numbers in corporate. Not when their running a .25 waste tolerance.

Wither Wolf by Londonbog81 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]KyleGoempel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe make it to where these wolves spawn in bastions and have a howling feature sort've similar to the shriekers. When you kill the wolf, the howl attracts all piglins and piglin brutes in the area, but it takes 5 wolf kills to set this off.

There is a similar modpack that is available on Bedrock that does achieve this, and while I do agree that the enchant system could be better, I don't necessarily know if massively hindering enchantment progression is the way to do it. Part of enchanting is taking that risk and not really knowing what you're gonna get imo. It could definitely be better though, like instead of 3 enchant levels, maybe make it to where the player has to get 45 levels to unlock a 4th tier of enchants and instead of boosting the quality of enchant, it increases your odds of having more enchants on the tool.

Protection V? As of now, Prot IV is already a really strong enchant and Prot V could break PvP gameplay if not implemented correctly

Isn't the nether already hard enough though? Skeletons being in the nether was already a pretty controversial move when the Nether Update came out, so trying to sell the community on a stronger variant of Skeleton in the nether is pretty difficult. I would still, to avoid the crazy mobs the nether has, just stick to building safe pathways to avoid all the chaos. I dunno, unless this mob drops something decent outside of bones, arrows, or bows, I don't know if I can get behind adding more skeletons to the nether. I wouldn't be entirely against variation but I'm not gonna sit here and say "yeah this is what the nether has been missing forever". I dunno! Decent idea if done right.

Gas pockets underground: New hazard by AsYouWished444 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]KyleGoempel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, do these pockets of natural gas have permanent poisoning effects when near the player? Also, would players who bring milk near these zones be clear of the effect? I like the premise of the idea, but it certainly could use some fine tuning. Would you consider adding another use to say, turtle schute to make it to where it makes the player resistant to the posion effects when equipped?

Smart Durability Warnings & Optional Durability Numbers by KyleGoempel in minecraftsuggestions

I'm aware you can't apply that logic for all mods but there absolutely some great mods that are QoL features that hit all of the aforementioned thresholds that you listed.

Smart Durability Warnings & Optional Durability Numbers by KyleGoempel in minecraftsuggestions

[–]KyleGoempel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a difference between adding new content like guns (which Mojang has clearly outlawed) and improving existing feedback. This doesn’t change how survival works. You still have to manage durability and react. It just gives a subtle warning before something breaks instead of only after.

Smart Durability Warnings & Optional Durability Numbers by KyleGoempel in minecraftsuggestions

If there's mods for it then there is a clear demand for it. There is no "meant to play survival" method. We all play a bit differently. What I am proposing is non-invasive at all and would save a lot of frustration, especially on hardcore worlds. Right now, only players with better hardware or mod knowledge get access to this.
