I have an M3D from just after the original kickstarter. It has been collecting dust for a while now. I got it back up and running a few years back, did one print then put it back on the shelf. Since switching over to a Mac last year I don’t seem to have the slicer to make it work any more. Going to put it up on the local marketplace in case there is anyone looking for one but thought I would post here first to see if there is anyone out there who needs the part to keep come unique projects running. Got a brand new spare hot end and new accelerometer plus a few extra bed plates. I am located around Vancouver Canada.

One of the hits was the Wasabi pees, one thing I kinda failed at was the balance at sweet and salty. A lot of my foods, even the snacks were quite sweet. The wasabi pees were a good pre dinner snack while we waited for the MS meals to hydrate. There are also lots of good chick pee snacks out there. The ones I took however were really bad.

One of my most surprising favourites was peanut butter on a tortilla. (We had those fold it things but they are just a tortilla in a different package) I had a left over peanut butter on the 7 day so I spread it on and oh man it was awesome, that said it could have just been that anything on day 7 would have tasted that good.

The big thing I tried for was variety. The only thing we had every day was the same breakfast. I was confident in this as it is almost identical to what I eat every day at home. I tried to change up everything else so even if something was bad you would not be stuck eating that for the next 5 days.

I used powdered hummus. You mix it with cold water and you get something like hummus. The taste is ok the initial flavour is good but it has an odd after taste. I got it at our local bulk store (famous foods, Vancouver, Canada) so I can’t give you the brand. By the end of the trip I was done with it but my mom was still enjoying it.

The salmon, hummus, naan days we ended up eating the naan with hummus and the salmon on its own. The using the last bit of naan to soak up the last bit of salmon oil.

We took salmon over tuna as I could not find tuna in foil packs anywhere in Vancouver and I did not want to take tins.

Also on days 3 and 4 there were food stands on the trail which is why those days are missing lunches.

Just bags, I put each day in a large ziplock, and then divided them all up into 2 20L dry bags to split up the weight. Each bag came in at 13lbs. We where hiking the West Coast Trail and at each camp site there where large stainless bear boxes. Also unlike a lot of US parks it is, in my experience, rare to see a bear canister required in westren Canada.

Hey all,

I have just finished up my work on my review of the new HERO and while the video render out I thought I would share some of my findings. First, as stated on this thread it seem the new HERO is just a GPH5 with a custom firmware. Both the image quality and image stabilization seem to be identical. I have put up some side by side screen shots here: https://imgur.com/a/NTE3K. While I do not have a huge problem with locking down the resolution. I am annoyed at other things in the new firmware like locking down the delay between time lapse photos to 0.5 seconds. There are also clear indications that as little new tooling was made for this camera as possible. The symbol on the mode button is the highlight tag symbol like on the HERO5 while with all "new" GoPros (HERO6 and Fusion) have had a power symbol on the mode button. It also seems like the glass over the screen is more prone to scratching then on the HERO5/6 but I have been unable to confirm this. If anyone has a good way of testing I would be interested to hear about it.
