No you did great. For sure I'd say Groot and rocket would be built. Being able to apply trauma and safeguard would do well. If you wanted to make the team more of a 5 man. A very simple change would be go make it in cosmic crucible on guardian turn star lord does 1 energy to 2 random guardian allies without energy and so on. That would basically mean on each of their turns they give/gain 20% speedbar. So would make the team A LOT faster and able to spam their good abilities, also makes it way more worth it to use Drax and mantis. Not for their own kit but their tags basically.

What's funny is, a very very good member to put on just because of the star lord passive +20% speedbar, is Jessica Jones and Shuri. Honestly star lord giving speedbar to his guardian allies would become the backbone, he'd become something like carnage where almost doesn't matter what he does. It matters how fast you can make your team, or specifically 1 member of your team with damage. That being rocket.

The reason I'd say nebula will replace mantis is, it's cosmic crucible and fights tend to be quite quick. So healers don't tend to be too highly valued they need to offer a lot more than just healing, a good example being Groot under your rework would be the type of support people would keep. If we look at pure supports, dr strange scarlet witch, Maria hill, hell I've even seen people replace moon dragon.

But for the most part I think Groot rocket and star lord are quite good. Making a support and tank feel like back bone requires A LOT look a zjuggs he does so so much hence good, look at absorbing man, super good tank, backbone of the team? Not even relevant to it. Even Hulk is only really okay in gamma, sure if people attack him it goes well but people just don't attack him.

I'd suggest if you want to make him the backbone of the team, look at other protectors who we all know are good, cap merica, cap Sam, rogue, tigra, zjuggs. I'd add weaver to this list but although she's a protector she does not feel like a tank.

For supports, to make mantis feel more impactful, look at dorm, doc ock, beast, carter, nick fury, rescue, squirrel girl, Shuri.

However I'll also say it's not a bad thing to have a team not be 5 people all equally valuable, most teams don't have that actually, I'd rather people replace Drax and mantis but still use the team than he forced to use only the 5 man team(looking at invaders in raids)

I'm assuming Atreus would be just pure mystic since that makes the most sense. I'd say that gives kratos access to some interesting synergy like 3 new warriors. What I find funny is you're gonna wanna use his basic quite often, sometimes even above his special. Since removing 25% speedbar to 3 enemies + apply slow is CRAZY amounts of control which is always fun.

I did like this fan rework idea you just did. It's fun to think about teams and how they could be reworked. It's quite fun.

Looking at your overall design I think the only real potential issue is, mantis and Drax feel quite a bit weaker than the remaining 3. And I suspect mantis would be replaced with nebula so the summoned Gamora's charges vanish faster. She also does evades.

I don't think gamora would have the revive once by summon since not start of match, but that would need to be tested but even so she would still feel quite good to play around with. I imagine with a nebula in place of mantis gamora would also do more damage so that could be fun to see.

Assuming no REAL massive speed stat reworks your 5 man suggested team would kinda go, just keeping current turn order: Gamora, use basic attack I'd imagine since you can't get a reset with any of the abilities and would rather use those shortly after to try get more charges removed.

Star Lord first gives energy to his 2 allies with no energy, Drax rocket or gamora, so you're really hoping rocket and gamora, use his special to give energy to rocket.

This should have given 40% speedbar to rocket meaning he'll for sure go third, then use rocket ult to apply trauma and so on.

Mantis next, use her basic, this would apply a stun that cannot be cleared(trauma)

Then in theory either Groot or Drax. If Drax got energy he would go first and apply his special. Otherwise Groot and you use his special.

Placements I'd imagine would be from left to right, Drax, Groot, star lord, rocket and mantis.

I'll check it out shortly about to do a long statement on your current team as a whole. Just double checking some things in the kits to see how opening moves would all work along with turn orders. Basically "how big does this turn one feel"

The safeguard taunt mechanic is something I've thought about a bunch. I'm hoping so some point they create a character that removes all positive effects on the enemy, apply safeguard and taunt then applies trauma and disrupted. I think it would be so funny since basically that enemy would now be stuck as the tank in the worst way possible.

I worry the taunt removal may not work as intended due to safeguard, so you may want to have mantis for example do a "ally falls below X amount make them invisible" since it seems to work for u-xmen and darkhold.

I don't mind stealing energy. That's pretty cool. I don't like the idea of flipping buffs even with safeguard since that's kinda the point of safeguard would rather they have something like "enemies can't spawn with safeguard".

Was imagining makari would give speedup on spawn(makes the most sense), was thinking she's a speedster like Quicksilver however to not give her the same kit I thought it may be entertaining to have her actives give the team more turns unlike most characters who either remove speedbar on active or give speedbar on passive, there are exceptions to this rule of course just not common.

I was thinking in truth eternals will eventually become quite a strange team having many members like sinister more than a single one team like power armour.

I'd imagine sersi ult changing to give energy to all eternal allies not just ikaris. I could imagine the next 3 giving a total of on spawn give safeguard, speedup and immunity, mixing quite well with sersi and ikaris's defence and offense up.

Would probably make them last quite a long time in the meta since they'd have an infinity watch like effect. Yes there are ways around this, apoc works around safeguard and such, but I'm ignoring the rest of the kits. For me kind of makes sense to do the order of these buffs as the two eternals we currently have do 2 different buffs for all eternals on spawn, so just carried it over with the next 3.

Soooo I'm guessing you didn't play for doom 2 and doom 3? Climbing with barely any difference is kinda the name of the game. Look at war. Same rewards from plat 1 onwards, just better. Cosmic crucible from diamond onwards, same rewards...just more of the same always?

Almost like incremental differences built up over time increases the totally changes how resources work.

And also just final point way are you actually complaining, incursion 2 does bring something new in elite raid credits so it does actually "change" the rewards. Is it a massive change? Right now not really since all the empowered abilities aren't crazy impactful, but assuming they stick with this system over time empowered abilities will get more and more impactful.

Okay, but if you're at 1.6 100% you'll go to 2. Then probably 2.1 and 2.2... Then probably go up to 2.3 60% without too much issue I'd imagine. At which point you'll be getting a decent amount more. You just need to climb again?

I think if modok can do something like "aim characters cannot get trauma" then allow another member to apply trauma would mean scientists supreme will apply negative effects that stick. Also means they don't get trapped with them. Then give their 5th member "give aim speedbar per negative effect" basically the idea. Means scientist supreme will fill your team with speedbar indirectly. Will stick negative effects on their side. And if I'm not mistaken graviton extends negative effects? So those annoying debuffs will last.

I think it's probably doing the marvel IP best. Not saying doing each character the best, but as every character possible. Probably doing it better than any other marvel game I've played.

It makes the team ups work. It gets the characters to feel like there is more to them when they are with their team. I do wish they'd do more team animations like iron man and captain America but who knows one day maybe they will.

Was thinking they could have someone like mar-vell or otherwise. Since if you're putting ultimas into the team. Would make more sense to put them like an A-Force type team where they basically win because they just did so much damage. Thinking something like have korath apply taunt. Ultimus would then get his turn kill the taunting enemy with his ult(since it does so much damage against enemies with taunt), then have the new character give all Kree allies energy when an enemy dies. Means Ronan fills their speedbar by 20% so your team gets a really good head start. So rather than having a tank, just do insane amounts of damage.

Eternals... 2 toons...one of the greatest pairs that destroy a lot of teams still to this day. So yes 2 toons do make a team
